Modern Warfare 3's first Open Combat Area mission, Precious Cargo, will have players start with only a knife equipped, no direct objective, and the only advice given over the radio is to look around for gear. Players will have to find the orange supply crates scattered throughout the combat area to add weapons, field upgrades, and tactical gear to the mission arsenal.
Once found in a supply crate, these weapons and equipment items can be permanently equipped at the start of the mission, or reequipped at any of the loadout crates in the mission area. Unlocked items are also unlocked for all difficulties in the campaign, meaning players can loot up gear on an easier playthrough to be prepared for a Hardened or Veteran difficulty run.
Players will find 21 total weapon and equipment supply crates in the mission Precious Cargo.
West Area
There are eleven supply crates in the West area of the map, disregarding the cargo ship area.
D-4 Supply Crate
Players will find a supply crate on top of some red shipping containers in D-4. Inside players will find a BAS-B battle rifle with a thermal scope.
D-8 Supply Crate
Players will find a crate inside a blue shipping container in D-8. The container where the crate is located is stacked on another shipping container, and can only be entered from the North side. Inside the supply crate players will find a Silenced Expedite shotgun.
C-5 Supply Crate
Players can find a supply crate in C-5 on the ground in between a group of shipping containers. Players will find a GS Magna with a front grip in this crate.
E-7 Supply Crates
Players will find two supply crates in the warehouse in E-7. The crate on the East side of the room by the armor plate refill will give players a 556 Icarus LMG, and the crate on the West end of the room by the plate carrier upgrade will give players a Snapshot Pulse field upgrade.
Players will find a third supply crate on the roof of this warehouse - use the ladder on the south end of the building to reach the crate and acquire the PILA launcher.
E-6 Supply Crates
Players can find two supply crates in E-6 by the burning truck behind the excavator. Start by searching the shipping container directly behind the excavator, players will find a supply crate with a Recon Drone field upgrade inside.
After opening this crate, use the boxes to the right of the shipping container to get on top of the container, there will be another supply crate directly ahead that will give players a Silenced Rival-9 SMG with a thermal scope that has a hybrid canted red dot sight.
D-6 Supply Crates
Players can find two supply crates stashed in a green shipping container marked with the Shadow Company insignia (a club with a rook inside) on the door. When searching D-6 look for a green container with the insignia on one door and an orange door that is slightly ajar. Open the container all the way and open the crates inside to add an MTZ 556 assault rifle and a Silenced WSP Swarm SMG to the mission arsenal.
D-7 Supply Crate
Players will find another Shadow Company container in D-7 with a supply crate inside that will give players the Heartbeat Sensor.
East Area
Players wil l find seven supply crates in the East part of Precious Cargo's mission area.
G-7 Supply Crates
Across the hall from the office where the Cargo Manifest is found players will find a supply crate with an RPK LMG inside.
Players will find another crate in G-7 on the roof of the Harbor Tower. Players will find an Explosive Victims SMR sniper rifle in the crate on the roof.
H-7 Supply Crates
When players make it to the Harbor Tower in H-7 there is a supply crate on the third floor in the room to the right from where the Cargo Manifest is found. Inside players will find a Pulemyot 762 LMG.
Players will find another supply crate in H-7 on the first floor in the garage, this crate will give players a Munitions Box.
G-4 Supply Crate
There is a supply crate in G-4 on a mid-level railing on one of the cranes used for moving shipping containers. Begin climbing the ladder on the crane and jump off after ascending past the platform. Players will add a Signal 50 sniper rifle to the Precious Cargo mission arsenal by opening this crate.
I-6 Supply Crate
In the small medical office on the East side of the map in I-6 players will find a crate that will give players a Silenced ISO Hemlock assault rifle with an infra-red sniper scope.
F-4 Supply Crate
Players can find a supply crate in the warehouse in F-4 in the room behind the lockers. This crate will award players with a Hybrid STB 556 assault rifle with a sniper scope attached.
The Ship
The last three supply crates players will find in this mission area are on the cargo ship. The first can be found on the North side of the main deck of the ship. After ascending the line to the ship, fight forward to the section painted green and white. Enter the first door on the left and find the crate inside with an Incendiary Bryson 800 shotgun.
Players will find the next supply crate after ascending the stairs towards the bridge. At the top of the stairs when players head inside the ship go through the first door on the left to find the crate. This crate will add an RGL 80 rocket launcher to the Precious Cargo arsenal.
Players will find a crate on the ship on the bridge near where the GPS tracker is found. After acquiring the tracker, turn around and head through the door to the left of the radar system. Players will find a supply crate with the KVD Enforcer sniper rifle inside.
