Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is bringing back the Halloween-themed Haunting event which will see a number of big horror crossovers, including Michael Myers from Halloween and Sam from Trick 'r Treat. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just detailed its sixth and likely final season of new content. In it, fans can look forward to a creepy new 6v6 multiplayer map called Drive Thru, as well as a number of fun variants for popular maps like Meat, Shipment, and High Rise.
While it wasn't the debut of what's become Call of Duty's signature Halloween event, 2023's The Haunting brought an incredible amount of big-name crossovers to Modern Warfare 2, cementing it as one of video games' best annual Halloween events to look forward to. The event introduced Spawn to Call of Duty as part of the battle pass and also brought in Ash Williams from Evil Dead, iconic Masters of the Universe villain Skeletor, Alucard from Hellsing, Diablo 4's Lillith and Inarius, and even an impressive Doom weapons bundle. Call of Duty had already become known for big crossovers in the years prior, but players were especially impressed with its 2023 The Haunting event.
This year's Call of Duty Haunting crossover lineup is looking to rival Modern Warfare 2's. As part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Season 6 unveiling, it revealed two major collaborations with classic Horror franchises, one of them being perhaps the most iconic horror franchise ever. Halloween's pale-faced killer Michael Myers is joining the Modern Warfare 3 roster as part of the Season 6 battle pass. Players won't need to put much effort into unlocking him, as he'll be an instant reward upon purchasing the pass. Tick 'r Treat's Sam is also joining Myers as an operator bundle, alongside a fun Trick 'r Treat Halloween Mask pack.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 The Haunting Crossover Skins
- Michael Myers (Battle Pass)
- Trick 'r Treat - Sam Operator Bundle
- The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon Operator Bundle
- Terrifier - Art the Clown Operator Bundle
- Smile 2 Tracer Pack
Modern Warfare 3's The Haunting has much more in store for horror fans, as Art the Clown from The Terrifier movie series is making an appearance as an operator bundle as well. Additionally, fans of the hit 2022 horror film Smile who are excited about its anticipated sequel next month can look forward to a creepy collab with Call of Duty that gives characters Valeria and Makarov chilling smiles as seen in the films. Finally, following in the footsteps of Rick and Michonne from Call of Duty's The Walking Dead crossover earlier this year, franchise icon Daryl Dixon is making his Modern Warfare 3 debut in Season 6 as well.
With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ready to drop on October 25, Season 6 will be Modern Warfare 3's final season. While surely a satisfying lineup for fans of horror, none of these new operator skins coming to Modern Warfare 3 as part of The Haunting will be able to be brought over to Black Ops 6, as Treyarch is looking for a fresh start to its 90s themed multiplayer suite.
