Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 5 is introducing four new maps to the multiplayer game mode. Each map is designed to challenge players to adapt to both new and familiar settings. Prepare for epic confrontations set far from the normal locales of Modern Warfare.
These maps call back to classic Call of Duty design concepts. Each one holds its own world of secrets, tactics, and routes just waiting to be discovered by dedicated fans. Players can expect these maps added to the game with Season 5's official launch on August 5.
Enter a cute yet rural farm environment in Livestock, a new map for Gunfight. The map is designed to present players with fast and frenetic Multiplayer Gunfight battles that surpass anything seen thus far in Modern Warfare. This rural compound is centered around a barn that gives the map a round shape. Hay bales and agricultural equipment is scattered across the map giving a simple appearance to a complicated map. Take advantage of flank routes and move in for some fast-paced close-quarter combat.
Unlike the farm, the Petrov Oil Rig is a standard Multiplayer map designed for large 6v6 battles. Fight for control of an oil rig set in the middle of a classified ocean far from the battlefields of Verdansk. Coalition and Allegiance forces fight across five distinct sections of the map. The entire design promotes close and mid-range combat, but several longer sightlines give a clever marksman a chance to counter-play assaulting troops.
Suldal Harbor holds a secret for Call of Duty Veterans. This map is one of the first Multiplayer maps ever to be released in the Call of Duty franchise. For the first time since its initial launch, Suldal Harbor makes an appearance in Modern Warfare Season 5. It provides fans with a medium-sized 6v6 Multiplayer map on a dockside setting. Several building interiors allow chances to flank and defend objectives while multiple choke points allow this map to be a challenging one to master.
A new Ground War map will be making its debut. Verdansk International Airport brings an iconic Warzone location to Multiplayer fans as a new large-scale battleground. The zone allows players access to the airport interior, parking garage, and adjacent apartment complex as well as the hangers along the far side of the map. This is a map that allows for long-range sniping alongside explosive APC action on familiar ground. Gauge the movement of battle and overcome enemy troops for victory on this large Ground War map.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
