Call of Duty: Modern Warfare receives updates on a weekly basis, regularly adding a slew of new content to the game. Like other live service games that are updated frequently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is prone to bugs. Luckily, Infinity Ward is quick to address many of the bugs plaguing the game, with fixes in the works for two that are especially frustrating the community.
One bug in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is impacting Ground War maps specifically. Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have reported spawning in bizarre locations on maps like Aniyah Palace and Downtown. Oftentimes these locations give players an unfair advantage and others accuse them of cheating, even though this was not their fault. Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward, Joe Cecot, has acknowledged this bug and said the team is "looking into it."
Another bug that's been plaguing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has to do with the Season 3 claymore challenge. There is a challenge as part of Modern Warfare Season 3 that tasks players with getting 20 claymore kills, but it's bugged. Many players are reporting that the game is not properly tracking their claymore kills, which makes it impossible for them to properly complete the challenge.
Joe Cecot has acknowledged this particular bug in the game as well, indicating that a fix is actively in the works. It's unclear if this fix will account for claymore kills earned while the bug was active, or if players will have to start at square one, but either way, many would argue that it's better than not being able to complete the challenge at all.
At the time of this writing, it's unclear exactly when these bug fixes will be released for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Since Infinity Ward releases a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update on a weekly basis, it's possible that these bugs will be squashed with next week's update. Alternatively, it may be weeks before the bug fixes are rolled out. Fans will just need to keep an eye on upcoming Modern Warfare patch notes to be sure.
