Since returning from the holiday break, Infinity Ward has seemingly hit the ground running with upcoming updates for its popular shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. While the game has no shortage of things to fix, the developer also appears to be attempting to balance bug fixes with requested content such as additional loadouts. However, personalization and customization options aren't stopping there as Infinity Ward provides a small tease for upcoming content.

On the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sub-Reddit, one fan posted an image of a specialist unit from the United Kingdom and used that picture to request similar styled operators. The post has recieved a lot of praise and upvotes, which seem to have caught the attention of Infinity Ward's art director Joel Emslie. According to him, Infinity Ward is looking into adding new operators that have a stronger milsim look and feel.

Milsim actually stands for Military Simulation, which is defined as an an activity that strives to realistically simulate the experience of armed conflict conducted by civilians for entertainment and mental health purposes. Currently, the game has a range of unique operators, though more than a few wouldn't fit into that true milsim style. With these new operators, Infinity Ward is attempting to add new characters that have a more realistic military look and feel.

Styling options seem to be a big addition for Infinity Ward this year as the studio is also looking into new weapon camo. Once again, Joel Emslie responded to a fan asking for solid weapon camo options by saying that the team was looking into it. Unfortunately, no other information was provided, such as time frame or potential color options.

While the promise of this feature is certainly appealing, there are likely more than a few players that would rather the studio concentrate on the various issues that plague the game first. Numerous glitches and exploits are currently hampering the online experience for many players though the biggest issue currently facing many players is a bug that is preventing progression on the battle pass, challenges, and weapon camos. The studio continues to investigate the problem, but no timetable has been given yet for an actual fix.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare  is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
