Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a sizable update on February 25 that added the new Gunfight map Bazaar, new playlists, and more. And now Infinity Ward has released yet another update for the game on February 26, which includes a fix for the Quick Fix perk bug.

It was reported last week that some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players were experiencing an issue with the Quick Fix perk simply not activating. The Modern Warfare February 26 update addresses this problem, as well as removes the rank reset screen that was appearing, fixes the Regiment invites issues, and fixes killstreaks that were still functioning in CDL playlists.

While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players may be more interested in updates that add new content, patches like this are important as well. A live service game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will almost always have technical issues and things to sort out, and it's good that Infinity Ward makes an effort to stay on top of issues as they're reported by the community.

Plus, it's not like there's a shortage of new content coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 road map promises plenty of new content that's on the way for the game, including new maps, modes, weapons, and more. And it's highly likely that there will be even more added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beyond what's promised in the road map, if recent leaks are any indication.

Leaks point to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare adding a battle royale mode soon. Entitled Warzone, the Modern Warfare battle royale mode will reportedly feature a massive 200 player count and a map that's much larger than the one in Black Ops 4's Blackout mode. Infinity Ward has yet to officially announce Warzone, but the evidence continues to mount that its release could be as early as next month.

Fans can expect Infinity Ward to support Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for the long term. Modern Warfare is making significant money from its Battle Pass and microtransactions, and it's likely that it will continue to receive new content and updates throughout 2020 and beyond.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
