On a near-weekly basis, Infinity Ward updates the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare playlists, ensuring fans consistently have new content to play. But while Infinity Ward adds new playlists to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare regularly, the studio also removes playlists from the game, even the most popular. This includes the Shipment 24/7 playlist, with many fans expressing disappointment on social media that the playlist still isn't back in the game.
Infinity Ward's Twitter post about the latest Modern Warfare playlist update is flooded with comments from people wanting Shipment 24/7 back in the game. It seems many fans are unimpressed with the current playlists in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and would rather just play on Shipment exclusively. Others also asked for the return of Shoot House 24/7, which is another popular playlist on a smaller map.
Instead of Shipment or Shoot House 24/7, the current 24/7 playlist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare features the classic MW2 map Scrapyard. However, Scrapyard is not nearly as popular as Shipment, and is not nearly as small either. Part of the reason why Call of Duty fans like Shipment so much is because of how small it is, so they get stuck playing on medium-sized maps if it's not available in a 24/7 playlist.
Infinity Ward will likely bring Shipment 24/7 back at some point in the future, as it's been one of the most frequently featured playlists in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward will also likely bring back the playlist that features small maps exclusively, like the one that had Shipment, Shoot House, and the MW2 map Rust to boot. Some fans would prefer to see a permanent playlist dedicated to smaller maps, but there's no indication that anything like that is on the way.
In the meantime, those that absolutely only want to play on smaller maps can at least play Gunfight. Gunfight provides a much different experience than standard multiplayer, but it does feature small maps exclusively, including Shipment. As of the latest Modern Warfare playlist update, 3v3 Gunfight with snipers only is back in the game, so fans can check out Gunfight with even more players than usual.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
