Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch this October, but there is still a lot we don't know about the game. So far, Infinity Ward and Activision have focused on showing off the campaign, with only mentions of multiplayer and Spec Ops. It's been rumored that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also have a battle royale mode, with rumors claiming that it will be one of the biggest battle royale modes we've seen in any game to date.
According to YouTube channel TheGamingRevolution, which has accurately leaked Call of Duty news in the past, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale mode will support up to 200 players. This is twice the typical amount of players in most battle royale games. To accommodate for this huge player count, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale map will reportedly be three times the size of Blackout in Black Ops 4.
TheGamingRevolution revealed other details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale mode. It will apparently have a revive system, a poisonous gas that forces players into the safety of the circle on the map, tier-based weapons, and elements from other Modern Warfare games. Presumably, the latter means that the map will be made up of areas from past Modern Warfare titles, as we saw with Blackout.
Details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's potential battle royale mode isn't the only thing TheGamingRevolution has supposedly leaked about the game. TheGamingRevolution also released a video detailing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare killstreaks, claiming that they will see the return of fan-favorite killstreaks like the Pave Low, Juggernaut suit, and the controversial tactical nuke.
Whether or not any of these claims by TheGamingRevolution are true remains to be seen, and so we recommend fans take this information with a grain of salt. Official details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer and its rumored battle royale mode should come to light in the months leading up to the game's late October release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch on October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
