Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players are having a hard time accessing the game. Xbox has faced some criticism recently concerning the changes made to Game Pass subscriptions. Modern Warfare 3 was added to Game Pass recently, getting plenty of players excited. Although the game is a year old and plenty of players are waiting for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25, these games have plenty of replay value by virtue of their online gameplay. Most Call of Duty games have at least a few core differences that make the experiences worth returning to, and plenty of players that may not have otherwise paid for the title got the opportunity to try it out from its Game Pass addition.

Although gamers were excited to enjoy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox Game Pass, there are quite a few subscribers that can’t even play the game. Across social media, posters are showing screenshots of their games and the status of their Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Some players have run into an issue with Game Pass itself, which in some cases is stating that its update hasn't gone through.

Modern Warfare 3 Players Try To Troubleshoot Errors

Unfortunately, following Modern Warfare 3's surprise addition to Xbox Game Pass, websites like UpdateCrazy have reported server issues with the game. This is not the state that players expected Modern Warfare 3 to be in by the time they were ready to play it, and Xbox and Microsoft have not commented on the matter so far. If aware, Xbox likely intends to handle the issue before addressing it with a statment is necessary, but some players have taken to replying to official posts talking about their experiences.

This does not seem to be the case for every gamer involved though. There are also many players excitedly posting about the game, and some regular players are even complaining about the difference in online play now that less experienced Game Pass players are starting to enter Modern Warfare 3 game lobbies. Although the issue is not all-encompassing, it does seem to be hitting a large enough amount of players for it to be a serious concern that many hope Xbox resolves sooner rather than later.
