Competitive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players will need to make the most of Ranked Play, as both modes are set to go offline on October 17. Ever since its launch on January 18, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players have been able to nab exclusive rewards by facing off against some of the best players in the world. Microsoft Ditches Awesome Xbox Game Pass Deal Right Before Black Ops 6 Launch

Just ahead of the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Microsoft removes an Xbox Game Pass subscription option that could've saved fans money.

With the launch of Call of Duty's Season 6 update on September 18, developer Sledgehammer Games confirmed that Modern Warfare 3's Ranked Play mode will be coming to an end on October 17. As Call of Duty: Warzone is updated alongside the latest mainline Call of Duty title, this also means that the Battle Royale's Ranked Play mode will be taken offline on the same date. The good news is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, and while there won't be a Ranked Play mode available at launch, Treyarch will be adding the competitive mode sometime in Season 1, which is expected to launch in either November or December.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Ranked Play End Date and Time

  • Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 12 AM PT

As part of Modern Warfare 3's Season 6 patch notes, Sledgehammer Games confirmed that Ranked Play for Season 6 will come to an end on October 17. The studio said that all Skill Division rewards will be granted soon after the current season has come to an end. While new Ranked Play seasons often arrive with each seasonal update, Season 6 of Modern Warfare 3 will be its last, meaning the competitive mode will not be returning and players looking to continue playing Ranked Play will either need to check out Warzone's iteration (which will be back with Black Ops 6 Season 1) or move over to Black Ops 6 on October 25 and wait for the modes return with the shooter's first season.

While the game's Ranked Play will soon be coming to an end, it is worth noting that Call of Duty Season 6 isn't ending until November 6, meaning players won't receive their Skill Division Rewards for another couple of weeks. The rewards players will receive will vary depending on the highest placement reached during the season. From emblems right up to animated weapon camos, the rewards for Season 6 will once again be incredibly lucrative. Here's what players will receive for each Skill Division:
