Call of Duty allows players to customize their weapon with various camos, attachments, and loadouts to suit their taste and playstyle. Like every year, the weapon camo grind is a huge part of Call of Duty's multiplayer, with players wanting to show off how badass they are with their camos. Luckily, players can access all their Modern Warfare 2 weapons in MW3, including the weapon camos they’ve already unlocked.

The Forged Camo is among the 12 MW3 completionist camos available for players, and it features a silver, metallic, and cool aesthetic that’s almost futuristic. Here’s how players can unlock the forged camo.

How to Unlock Modern Warfare 3 Forged Camo

To unlock Modern Warfare 3 Forged Camo, players must:

  1. Complete all Base Camo Challenges for a weapon
  2. Unlock a set amount of Gilded Camo Challenges for that weapon category (such as Battle Rifles).
  3. Complete the Forged Camo Challenge for that weapon.

Players should first complete the base camo challenges for all weapons in a particular category, like Battle Rifles. After completing the base camo challenges, they should unlock the Gilded camos for the guns in the category. For instance, if there are 5 weapons in the Battle Rifles class when MW3 launches, players must unlock all 5 Gilded camos for the class.

Getting Gilded camos for each weapon will unlock the Forged Camo challenge for all the rifles in the category. However, players can only unlock the Forged Camo challenge for the weapons with Gilded Camo in that class (in this case, Battle Rifles). Next, players have to complete the challenge to get the Forged Camo. One Forged Camo challenge in Modern Warfare 3 is “Get 3 kills without dying 10 times.” Remember, only the weapon used to complete the challenge can be dressed in the camo earned. So, if players use Lachmann-762 for the challenge, they can only use the camo on this weapon and not any other in the category.

To use the Forged Camo on other weapons in the Battle Rifle class, players must complete the camo challenge for each weapon since this is a completionist camo challenge. Players can use the Camo menu to check the challenge for all guns in the category. The process may seem tedious, but players who love grinding for camos will love the challenge.
