Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has released an interesting new cosmetic bundle themed around sock puppets. Recent years have seen Call of Duty fans debate over the seemingly lighter direction Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 have taken with regard to the tone of their more lighthearted cosmetic bundles. Call of Duty has collaborated with many different popular franchises, like Dune, The Boys, Fallout, and Godzilla, but it's bundles like Modern Warfare 2's Hopping Mad Easter bunny tracer pack and Modern Warfare 3's more recent Emoting bundle that have caused outrage within the community for fans who prefer the more serious military tone found in previous games. Modern Warfare 3' s reported use of AI for its Yokai's Wrath bundle has added another layer of controversy to Call of Duty's cosmetic practices.
It seems Call of Duty's more lighthearted cosmetics are popular, as Modern Warfare 3 has introduced a new bundle, this time sock puppet themed. For 2800 COD Points, the aptly named Sock Puppet Tracer Pack includes two silly sock puppet skins, one named Socky for the Bantam operator, and the other named Sock It To 'Em for Raptor. Sock-themed weapon blueprints for the STG44 and the Lachmann Sub are included in the pack next to several smaller items.
