The in-game seasons of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bring huge changes to the multiplayer experience of the title and keep fans on their toes. Season 1 Reloaded of the title launched on January 17, bringing a lot of exciting additions, but the release of Season 2 in the near future will likely bring even greater content.

Given the recent launch of Season 1 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, not a lot is known about what specific content Season 2 will bring, but the areas that the update will likely target are fairly easy to predict. With Zombies and the core multiplayer of MW3 being likely to receive a lot of new content in Season 2, fans already have a good idea of what to expect from the in-game event.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Will Want to Exceed the Content of Season 1 Reloaded

Like all multiplayer seasons for Call of Duty, Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 will come with its own Battle Pass, following the more recent strategy of possessing a more robust Blackcell Battle Pass alongside the standard edition. This means that players can also expect a variety of new weapons, cosmetics, and operators to be added alongside Season 2.

Rumors currently point towards Kate Laswell being added to Modern Warfare 3 as a multiplayer operator in the near future, and Season 2 seems like the perfect time to do this. Laswell has been a key figure in the campaigns of the Modern Warfare franchise as of late. Recent promotional material featuring the character in a multiplayer context seems to all but confirm that she will be coming to MW3's online mode in the very near future.

Weapons in MW3 Season 2

Besides this, other promotional material seems to hint towards the iconic F2000 weapon returning to Modern Warfare 3 soon. Although likely to appear under a different name, the gun that was so popular in the original MW2 and MW3 should be expected as a standout new weapon in the upcoming Season 2. Other current rumors point towards a bow and a sword being added to MW3 at some point in the future, with many fans believing this to be part of the supposed upcoming The Walking Dead crossover with the title.

A lot of leaked evidence points towards Moderrn Warfare 3 introducing a The Walking Dead crossover, though this has not been officially confirmed by Activision.

Modern Warfare 3's Season 2 Will Bolster Multiplayer Maps and Zombies

Not all of Season 2's content is left to speculation, however. Sledgehammer confirmed that the first two seasons of MW3 will include three new 6v6 maps each. Season 1 has already fulfilled this with the well-received additions of MW3 maps Meat, Greece, and Rio, and fans should definitely expect three more to drop with Season 2's launch in February.

Players should also expect content for Modern Warfare 3's Zombies in Season 2, with rumors of a Gargoyle boss being just one aspect of potential introductions. It is also expected that Season 2 will further the current storyline of MW3 Zombies, but it is unclear if this will build upon the recent Act 4 or herald in a new Act altogether. While more details of Season 2's content will release over the coming weeks, fans already have a good idea of what to expect across Zombies and core multiplayer.
