Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players are urging Activision to bring back Fog, a forgotten multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Ghosts, for the shooter's upcoming Season 6 content update. With the final season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 confirmed to be horror-themed, fans think this classic map would fit right in.
On September 10, Activision announced the final season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. With Season 6 set to kick off on September 18, Call of Duty players will be able to check out Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone's popular horror-themed event, The Haunting. Alongside some special Halloween limited-time modes, the new season will see many spooky skin bundles, weapons, maps, and more released. However, with only one new multiplayer map being added to Modern Warfare 3, fans think they've found the perfect addition for Season 6.
Major Changes From Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to Black Ops 6
Despite the annualized nature of the franchise, Call of Duty introduces several new features to the base gameplay with each passing entry. But this ye
Over on Reddit, a Call of Duty player has stated that Fog, a multiplayer map from 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts, would be "perfect" to bring back for Modern Warfare 3 Season 6. The small to medium-sized would fit ideally with the theme of the upcoming season as it is set in a dark and eerie campsite and is heavily inspired by numerous classic horror films. As the map was exclusive to Ghosts' Onslaught DLC pack, Fog is often forgotten about and has yet to receive a remaster like many other Call of Duty maps.
Modern Warfare 3 Fans Want Fog to Return in Season 6
While many of the responses joked about the incessant number of Shipment variants coming in Modern Warfare 3 Season 6, others agreed that Fog would be the perfect map to bring back as part of the new content update. One user said that it would be "amazing" to see Fog return, while another user said that the map had perfect horror vibes. Although Call of Duty: Ghosts isn't often spoken about when it comes to the most popular Call of Duty games of all time, a plethora of fans exclaimed their love for the 2013 shooter, with some even saying it was "the last fun COD."
Unfortunately, given that each new season of Call of Duty is developed months in advance, it's unlikely that Activision will cater to the community's request to see Fog return. Thankfully, there's still plenty of other horror-themed content on the way, such as a new collaboration between The Walking Dead and Modern Warfare 3, in which players will be able to complete special challenges to earn some lucrative rewards as part of the Road to Terminus event. Fans will also be able to get their hands on a new Michael Myers skin in the Season 6 Battle Pass or purchase one of the many Halloween bundles via the in-game store.
