An update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has fixed a strange inaccuracy that was present on a load screen background. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are currently in Season 3, which officially came out on April 12 as a free update.
Since its release in October 2022, Modern Warfare 2 fans have reported running into various issues and glitches in the game. As an example, one Call of Duty fan fell victim to a bizarre sequence of events, as they encountered one bug after another while playing on the Shipment map in Modern Warfare 2. Activision has been regularly releasing patches for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and it looks like one update recently fixed a strange inaccuracy.
A Reddit user named burnttoastonbred has shared an image from a load screen background in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The image shows multiple bullets being fired off in a particular direction, and there doesn’t appear to be anything wrong with it. However, gamers should note that a previous version of this image showed the same bullets in their shell casing, making it seem like Call of Duty forgot how bullets work in the first place.
Some users criticized Activision and Infinity Ward for using the previous image in Modern Warfare 2, as it displayed a lack of attention to detail. As seen in the latest post, the shell casings from all the bullets have been removed, rectifying a glaring inaccuracy that was present in the previous version.
It looks like some Call of Duty fans were unaware of the change, but one was able to correctly predict that the original image included bullets with shell casings. Another player criticizes the development team for fixing small problems like this, as it seems like gamers are still facing issues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The comments are filled with sarcastic remarks about Activision listening to the fan base, with some other players also calling for more important fixes.
However, as pointed out by a few other users, important changes probably take longer to get fixed. In addition, this work was probably the responsibility of the art department, so it may not have impacted the schedule of the gameplay team for Modern Warfare 2. It also looks like many gamers preferred the original image with the shell casings, as these users express their disappointment with this change in the comments section.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
