Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 makes a very positive updated to its ranked mode based on community feedback regarding the changes. The Call of Duty community remains active and vocal in the things that likes and issues that crop up from time to time. Fans can be pretty opinionated on various social media sights, providing their thoughts on how they'd like to better improve the overall experience, such as many indicating how long it takes to actually unlock Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass content.

However, the feedback doesn't always fall on deaf ears, as developers like Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Raven, and the others due look into reported problems highlighted by the community, many of which can be found on the official Call of Duty Trello Board. New updates are constantly rolling out including Season 2 Reloaded, which not only brought a variety of fixes to Modern Warfare 2, but added a significant amount of content including the arrival of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover with Shredder becoming a playable operator.

One of the big new launches in Season 2 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the addition of Ranked Play, which has quickly become a fan favorite element, even if hackers continue to cause issues. The limited map pool was also a sore spot for players, though Treyarch's recent announcement aims to fix that by replacing some of the weaker maps and modes. In a new Tweet, the studio revealed that Himmelmatt Expo is being added to Ranked Play with the game modes Control and Search & Destroy.

While this is intended to be more of a test run, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players have already positively responded to the news, especially considering that a couple of the current maps like Fortress or Al Bagra are not seen as fan favorites. One of the more popular Call of Duty streamers, CouRage, responded quickly to the news, praising the move and calling it awesome. Others followed suit calling it a great addition, a good map, and even some made tongue in cheek comments that Treyarch should get a chance to work on its own Call of Duty game where they call the shots.

Alongside Ranked Play for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, Activision also seemed to quietly confirmed that a Ranked Mode is also being developed for Warzone 2. Warzone ranked was teased as a future release inside a list of upcoming content, though fans will likely be waiting a bit longer to go hands on with it, as the Call of Duty development teams are seemingly working on it for Season 3 and beyond.
