A bizarre clip shows one Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player getting killed by a door during a multiplayer match. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently in Season 2 Reloaded, and Season 3 of the game launches in just a few days on April 12.
Since its release last year, Modern Warfare 2 fans have experienced some strange events that have led to their unexpected death. Some of them are due to bugs present in Modern Warfare 2, as a video showed one user dying twice to the same grenade in a multiplayer match. Now, another fan uploads a clip from Modern Warfare 2 of them dying in perhaps one of the most bizarre ways possible.
Shared by a Reddit user named AFish_With_Legs, the clip shows the player running alongside a teammate in a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer match. Both players start crouch-walking as they get near the objective, and the partner enters the room holding the target without any trouble. The player tries to follow their teammate inside the room but is seemingly killed by the closing door. The other user appears just as surprised, as it looks like they went back to check on their teammate before planting the bomb.
The comments section is mostly filled with jokes about how the player got killed by a door, with one user saying that they deserved it for crouch-walking too much. One user jokingly states that it’s an issue with their skill level, while another fan mentions that the controversial SBMM present in Modern Warfare 2 is to be blamed for this death. It’s also possible that the player may have gotten stuck in the door, resulting in the game marking it as a death.
While gamers can easily die in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, probably due to the low time-to-kill, such instances are more or less unavoidable. Some Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 players have shared complaints about the relatively low TTK in the games, and it’ll be interesting to see if Activision ever decides to increase it in the future.
Modern Warfare 2 fans should note that the Season 3 update is adding some new maps for the core and battle game modes, with an addition 6v6 map coming in the middle of the season. Additionally, Activision will add new game types to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 3, including the fan-favorite Cranked mode.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
