Halloween is always a great excuse for live-service games to have a bit of a refresh. Halloween is a chance to give the map a spooky makeover, add some horror-themed quests and cosmetics, and even collaborate with the wider world of horror entertainment. Call of Duty has been doing exactly this for a good few years now, and Halloween 2024 is no exception.
An event officially titled "The Haunting," Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are both dedicating an entire season of content to Halloween festivities. This year's Call of Duty Haunting event is going all out, adding new limited-time Zombies multiplayer modes, some new spooky map variants, and even a handful of collaborations with popular horror franchises, the latest of which is sure to put a smile on horror fans' faces.
Call of Duty's Smile 2 Crossover Explained
Everything Included in Call of Duty's Smile 2 Tracer Pack
Available right now through the in-game Call of Duty store, the Smile 2 Tracer Pack gives players a bevy of cosmetics based on the upcoming horror movie sequel. The items included in the Smile 2 Tracer bundle include:
- Possessed Valeria Operator Skin
- Possessed Makarov Operator Skin
- Eerie Affliction Static-HV Weapon Blueprint
- Sinister Smirk SOA Subverter Weapon Blueprint
- It Will Never Let Go Large Decal
- Smile 2 Weapon Sticker
- Smile 2 Loading Screen
The biggest draws of Call of Duty's Smile 2 Tracer Pack are undoubtedly the two skins that appear front and center on the pack's cover art. Possessed Valeria and Possessed Makarov take the iconic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare characters and give them a Smile-inspired makeover, turning their usual stoic faces into the eponymous, creepy expressions displayed in the horror movie series by those who are being possessed by a mysterious entity.
This Smile 2 Tracer Pack has hit Call of Duty at the perfect time, with the movie sequel set to hit theaters on October 18. It's also a great set of cosmetics to get fans into the spirit of the season, with the blood-colored weapon blueprints and eerie decals giving the player's loadout an unsettling overhaul.
Call of Duty's Smile 2 Tracer Pack is available now for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, and it costs 2,400 COD Points.
Smile 2 Is Just One of Many Call of Duty Horror Crossovers This Halloween
While Call of Duty's Smile 2 Tracer Pack is another solid crossover for the military shooter, it's far from the only collaboration hitting the game this Halloween. As part of the Haunting event, Call of Duty is bringing four more horror crossovers to the game. Halloween's Michael Myers takes the spotlight in the Season 6 Battle Pass, while The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon, Terrifier's Art the Clown, and a few Trick 'r Treat-inspired skins all hit the Call of Duty in-game store this season.
Along with Operator skins based on these popular horror movie franchises, these Call of Duty Tracer Pack bundles come with a range of additional cosmetics, including weapon blueprints, decals, emblems, weapon charms, and even some unique finishers in some cases.
