Players who consistently purchase the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blackcell battle passes will qualify for "loyalty bonuses," according to a new announcement. Developer Treyarch and Microsoft reintroduced the Blackcell battle pass with the debut of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 in November 2024.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is well into its first content season, and players have had some time to earn new content and participate in new events, like the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Hit List. When Treyarch debuted Black Ops 6 Season 1, they also revamped the game's Blackcell battle pass system, changing how players earned rewards for engaging with Call of Duty over the longer term. A major draw for players willing to spend money on Call of Duty or Warzone, the Blackcell passes award new cosmetic updates, skins, even weapon blueprints for playing and leveling up its tiers.

Now, official Call of Duty accounts have announced that players who commit to purchasing the Blackcell passes consistently will qualify for a "Loyalty Bonus" reward. Like the Warzone XP Boost awarded to players who purchase the Black Ops 6 base game, the Blackcell loyalty bonus multiplies the amount of XP players earn.

Call of Duty Blackcell Loyalty Bonus Boosts More XP Each Season

According to the announcement, players who purchase the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blackcell battle pass will earn a 10% boost to both Player and Weapon XP in the next season if they purchase Blackcell again. On top of that, the bonus will stack for each subsequent season they purchase. For example, a player who purchases Blackcell in Black Ops 6 Season 1, and then goes on to purchase Blackcell in Season 2 will earn a 10% XP boost for Season 2 and beyond. However, if they purchase Season 3, that boost increases to 20% for Season 3, and so on. According to a shared matrix, a player that purchases Blackcell every season will be earning 50% more player and weapon XP by Season 6.

The online reaction to the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Blackcell loyalty rewards was mixed. Some players admitted that the loyalty bonus makes sense for dedicated Call of Duty players, since they add further value to something they'd be likely to purchase anyway. Other players theorized that if the XP boost also stacks with modifiers from Call of Duty Double XP Tokens and events, players could earn "insane" amounts of XP in a short amount of time.
