An achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 literally tells some of the game's most hardcore players to "touch grass" for grinding Weapon Prestige. The newest entry in the Call of Duty franchise offers players plenty of different ways to approach its PvP game modes, between different maps, loadouts, and more. Black Ops 7 features 18 maps for its online multiplayer, including 16 standard 6v6 maps and even a pair of large-scale 20v20 maps for players to duke it out with one another. Call of Duty also offers some special challenges for players looking to master its many weapons.

Call of Duty's Weapon Prestige system makes a return in Black Ops 7, rewarding players for maxing out its different styles of guns. Players who have reached Level 50 with a particular weapon can reset their Prestige level with the gun to earn some exclusive cosmetics, picking up a new camo for each tier. Prestige Level 2 also gifts players with a charm specific to each weapon, with players able to climb as high as Level 250 through Master Prestige with a given gun. Now, Call of Duty is teasing players who achieve Master Prestige with a multitude of weapons.

How to Get Objective Kills in COD Black Ops 7

Objective Kills are a top priority for anyone completing Weekly Challenges or camo grinding in Black Ops 7. Here is how to get them fast.

Black Ops 7 Fans Find "Touch Grass" Calling Card

Fans have discovered an achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 that pokes fun at players for grinding Master Prestige. Reaching the highest level of Master Prestige with 30 different weapons in Black Ops 7 rewards players with the humorously-named "Touch Grass" Calling Card. The art for the achievement shows off a dead soldier lying amongst the grass, surrounded by several different types of guns. A user who shared the Calling Card to the Black Ops 7 subreddit did note that it does not feature a special animation, nor is there a camo rewarded for reaching the impressive milestone.

While fans were amused by the comedic Calling Card, the lack of any special perks for the achievement was a particular sour spot. Many were disappointed that the Black Ops 7 Calling Card does not feature animations like some other Call of Duty cards, despite the steep grind required. Some fans cited the fact that many of Black Ops 7's Calling Cards were generated with AI as a major reason for the lack of animations. Others have both praised and teased the original poster for how much grinding the achievement takes, with the player even suggesting that the grind is "not worth it."

Black Ops 7 Has a New Competitive Queue Coming Soon

Black Ops 7's grind-heavy Calling Card comes as Treyarch is gearing up to give fans another reason to sink hours into the game. Black Ops 7 will officially introduce its Ranked Play queue with the launch of the Season 2 update, currently scheduled to begin on February 5. The lack of a Ranked queue on release was a significant criticism from fans, with no official reason given for the delay. Treyarch has not shared any details about what the requirements for entering Ranked queues will be, though past games have based Ranked eligibility on wins during a season.

Black Ops 7's multiplayer has also seen some controversy related to the matchmaking for its multiplayer modes. The newest version of Warzone officially added "open matchmaking" on December 4, no longer using strictly skill-based matchmaking for its queues. Call of Duty's skill-based matchmaking has often been a point of contention for fans throughout the franchise's history, with some feeling it makes casual games feel more competitive than they should. Treyarch even revealed that open matchmaking did not land as the developer had hoped, with many fans moving back to the Standard Moshpit queue. Black Ops 7's upcoming competitive mode will look to breathe some fresh life into the shooter.
