A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Easter egg in The Tomb causes an animated zombie overlay, which freaks out some gamers. Some Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Easter eggs are hard to come by, but this one is causing jumpscares with its random appearances.
The Call of Duty Zombies game mode has been going since Call of Duty: World at War, and since the beginning, it has offered a plethora of Easter eggs. Zombies has evolved over the years, with maps getting larger, more Easter eggs being included, and different ways to customize a playthrough introduced. While there's an ideal way to complete the main quest of each map, gamers who are just looking to kill zombies have plenty of ways to accomplish that goal. This trend continues with The Tomb, which was introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2. The Tomb features various powerful staves, artifacts, and a powerful boss. Some gamers have noticed a pop-up jumpscare when exploring The Tomb, which can be replicated with one simple action.
Black Ops 6 Zombies: How to Get a Free Self-Revive Kit in The Tomb
Players can get themselves a free Self-Revive Kit in The Tomb by finding and shooting 10 urns, and here's where they are located.
Twitter user 9h05tface recently shared a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 clip highlighting a jumpscare from The Tomb Zombies map. The clip shows the player climbing a staircase with a Baseball Bat equipped near one of the main quest statues. The gamer then switches to a Black Ops 6 Pack-a-Punch pistol as their teammate is downed. They then shoot at multiple nearby zombies with explosive rounds and nearly die as a group of zombies attack them. After kiting the pack of enemies, the player kills a group of the zombies and is about to go back downstairs when a Zombies jumpscare takes over a large portion of their screen. Perhaps discombobulated by this screen overlay, the player is soon eliminated, and the playthrough ends at round 13.
This Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Jumpscare Can Be Easily Replicated
According to some players, this Easter egg can be replicated by shooting the statues that spawn in randomized locations around Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Tomb. After a statue is shot, this animated zombie that resembles a nun may appear at any point throughout the Zombies run. If a player shoots multiple statues, or the same one repeatedly, the jumpscare will appear that number of times in their playthrough. Players will know if this Easter egg has been activated when a statue's eyes glow red like the jumpscare. This Easter egg doesn't simply show the hooded zombie at a random time, players will also hear whispering voices before it appears, creating multiple levels of suspense.
As Treyarch continues to update Black Ops 6 with new content, future Zombies maps may have their own jumpscares. Because The Tomb is a fresh Zombies map, many hidden details may continue to be highlighted by the community.
