August 28 is going to be a big day for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies fans, as that's the day the Call of Duty NEXT event takes place and reveals the Liberty Falls map. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be launching on October 25 with two Zombies maps in tow. One map, Terminus Island, was recently given a deep dive by Activision that detailed all kinds of interesting information about the map and what it will entail.
The Terminus Island map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies takes place on a prison island and has drawn comparisons to the classic Mob of the Dead map. Players take on the role of prisoners and a smuggler trying to escape the island as it's hit with a zombie outbreak. Much of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies focus has been on Terminus Island so far, but there's another map on the way as well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Has Major New Feature
Activision reveals a major new feature that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode is going to introduce in late October 2024.
Terminus Island will be joined by Liberty Falls, a map that takes place in a small town in West Virginia. Fans have only been treated to brief glimpses of the Liberty Falls map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but more information will be revealed at the Call of Duty NEXT event on August 28. Call of Duty NEXT is an annual Call of Duty franchise event where Activision reveals info on the next game in the series as well as details on spin-offs and side projects. Fans can expect a deep dive on Liberty Falls and learn how exactly it will differ from Terminus Island.

It's possible that there will be some big differences between Terminus Island and Liberty Falls beyond the fact that they take place in different locations. For instance, past Call of Duty Zombies maps experimented with having different playable characters depending on the map. It's entirely possible that Liberty Falls will feature a different cast than Terminus Island, though that's just speculation at this time. It's also possible that some of the perks will be different depending on if players are playing on the Terminus Island map or Liberty Falls, but again, we don't have enough details yet to be sure one way or another.
Part of the Terminus Island deep dive included the reveal of eight Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies perks, which mostly consists of returning perks along with the brand-new Melee Macchiato. The language used by Activision suggested that the perks it outlined were specific to Terminus Island, but again, we won't know for sure until Liberty Falls is properly unveiled on August 28.
