Fans are once again gearing up for a content injection for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with a complete picture now being known about what season two will offer when it launches on January 28. Season two of BO6 has given more attention to core multiplayer and Zombies than ever before, with a wide range of maps, quality of life upgrades, modes, perks, weapons, and attachments coming to the title at launch and throughout the season's duration.

The commendable amount of new weapons and attachments coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 throughout season two make up some of the most important content for the event, likely offering huge shake-ups to the title's meta while introducing brand-new ways to approach combat. Aside from entirely new weapons and attachments, some upcoming additions are taken straight from prior Call of Duty titles, meaning new and old fans have something to look forward to.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season Two Comes With a Huge Arsenal Expansion

One of the most exciting announcements for Black Ops 6's season two weapon content finally cleared up the mystery around a beloved returning SMG from past CoD games. Treyarch recently confirmed this weapon to be the PPSh-41. With this iconic close-quarters weapon as well as a unique blueprint for it being accessed through the season two battle pass, Black Ops 6 joins the following CoD multiplayers in featuring the real-world Soviet SMG:

  • Call of Duty 2
  • Call of Duty: World at War
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  • Call of Duty: WWII
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  • Call of Duty: Vanguard
  • Call of Duty Mobile

The Feng 82 is another weapon being added to Black Ops 6 from the outset of season two. It's an LMG that offers a unique middle-ground between its bulkier weapon type and a standard AR. With a small magazine size of 30 and a very slow firing rate, this fully-automatic battle pass LMG is set to be the perfect match for players who prefer aggression, precision and stopping power over a sluggish spray-and-pray approach.

Marskman Rifles also get some love in Black Ops 6 season two with the addition of the TR2, which will be available as a reward tied to one of season two's events. The TR2 offers best-in-class handling for Marksman Rifles alongside semi-automatic fire, allowing for unusually fast-paced engagements and proficient close-ranged combat. While not specified, Treyarch has also confirmed that new weapons will be introduced at the mid-way point of season two, including several new melee weapons as well as a bombastic explosive armament.

Season 2 of Black Ops 6 Will See the Addition of Some Extremely Unique Attachments

Some fascinating weapon attachments are also set to launch alongside season two, such as an underbarrel Crossbow Attachment for all Assault Rifles as well as a handful of Marksman Rifles. Also coming as a battle pass reward, the Crossbow Attachment offers three explosive tipped bolt at the player's disposal, allowing for a wide margin of error alongside precise long-range shots. Another event-specific attachment has been announced solely for the AEK-973, with the Full Auto Mod attachment transforming the weapon into a rapidly firing killing machine.

The Tanto.22 SMG has also received its own specific attachment tied to an event reward, with the Binary Trigger mod allowing for semi-automatic bursts of highly precise fire. Lastly, season two of Black Ops 6 is aiming to revamp LMGs with the Belt-Fed Attachment, which offers a massive amount of ammunition being continuously fed through the weapon, with players only having to worry about an LMG overheating as opposed to running out of ammo. Players have been calling for some variety within Black Ops 6's multiplayer for some time now, and the fresh weapons and attachments of season two seem like an excellent step forward in achieving this.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
