Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are being urged to revisit Modern Warfare 3 after a user discovered that simply playing and leveling up in the latest entry will unlock Battle Pass tokens for last year's Call of Duty. While all of the cosmetic items and weapons earned in Modern Warfare 3 don't carry over to Black Ops 6, it is worth revisiting last year's shooter simply to receive the available COD Points in the Battle Pass, which do transfer between titles.
When Call of Duty transitioned from 2022's Modern Warfare 2 into its successor, Modern Warfare 3, players were able to keep all of their earned weapons, cosmetic rewards, XP tokens, and COD Points thanks to a new feature that Activision was calling 'Carry Forward'. Unfortunately, it was confirmed by the studio earlier this year that no content would carry forward to Black Ops 6 upon its release. However, while fans can't take any of their purchased bundles into this year's entry, COD Points are linked between all titles that use the system and can be transferred between Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6.
Modern Warfare 3's Battle Pass Can Be Leveled up in Black Ops 6
For players looking to maximize the number of COD Points on their account, or for those that enjoy playing both Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6 simultaneously, fans have recently discovered that leveling up and playing Treyarch's newest shooter will actually level up the Battle Pass in Modern Warfare 3. While it won't increase your overall level, it does allow users to play Black Ops 6 while still making progress in Modern Warfare 3's Battle Pass, and for those still playing the 2023 Call of Duty title, it's a great way to take a break without falling behind on progression.
While the Battle Pass system has always been a great way to unlock new cosmetic items, weapon blueprints, and double XP tokens, it's also one of the best ways for Call of Duty players to earn COD Points, which can then be spent in the Call of Duty store on new cosmetic items, like operator skins and weapon blueprints. For those who have leveled up a great deal in Black Ops 6 since its launch and own the Battle Pass in Modern Warfare 3 (or those who want to make the most of the game's free Battle Pass rewards), there are likely some tokens waiting to be claimed. Twitter user Detonated, for example, returned to 33 tokens waiting for them.
It is worth noting that players who have left auto-unlock enabled in Modern Warfare 3 or Warzone will not be returning to any available tokens, as the Battle Pass rewards will have been automatically added to the user's account as they played. And while there isn't exactly an abundance of bundles available in the latest Call of Duty just yet, Season 1 of Black Ops 6 is set for November 14, which will likely add a plethora of new cosmetic items to the store for players to spend all of those COD Points on.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
