A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 mod is already making rounds, more than two months before the game's official launch on October 25. Being the first Black Ops title in the series since 2020, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to arrive for in October, with plenty of new reveals still left to be announced.
In one of the biggest leaks this year, everything from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's maps to its weapons has been revealed ahead of time. A major chunk of these sneak peeks seem to be coming from the game's leaked beta build, which players have been accessing on jailbroken PS4 consoles. Apparently, these players have now got their hands on a Black Ops 6 mod that tinkers with a new gameplay mechanic set to be introduced in the forthcoming Call of Duty game.
As per a clip shared by ModernWarzone on Twitter, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been modded to alter the new omnidirectional movement feature, which allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction. Modders have tweaked this aspect of the game to incorporate a "low gravity" effect into actions, such as jumping and diving. As a result, the player character is able to stay off the ground during a jump or a dive for longer, allowing them more time to shoot opponents in midair. Interestingly, the video shows the player performing these actions from a third-person view, suggesting that this particular camera angle, which had only been available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Zombies mode, may also have been modded into the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gets Modded Way Ahead of Launch
The new mod has landed in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 weeks before the game's early access period kicks off on August 30 for those who pre-ordered it. Going by the video, it appears that the mod is being used in lobbies filled by players with access to the leaked build on jailbroken consoles. In the comments, a Twitter user noted how the midair shooting part was akin to Bullet Time in Max Payne games. Another user reacted excitedly, calling the mod "kinda amazing." A comment brought attention to the fact that the clip was understandably from a private lobby and players shouldn't expect such mods to work in online public matches when the game rolls out.
There's no doubt that the recent Call of Duty leaks are damaging and rob the developer of its right to showcase the game's features in the build-up to launch. However, the leaks only represent a part of the game and more of what's to come is set to be unveiled by official sources. Fans can expect more Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode details to emerge during the Call of Duty NEXT event on August 28.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
