Treyarch has announced a fix for an issue in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 that limited some players' double XP gains during the game's first 2XP weekend. Players called out the issue with Black Ops 6's first 2XP weekend not even a day into the event, with one user earning just 6,000 XP for a game where they scored 12,340. The difference was so stark that some even suggested that Treyarch and Activision intentionally lowered the amount of experience for the weekend. Now, it's clear that wasn't the case, and gamers should be able to get the XP they'd expect from the event, with an extra day added to make up for it.

Because some effectively missed out on a day of earning bonus XP, the "weekend" will now last until Tuesday, November 5. That's not unusual for multiplayer titles, especially new ones, and should mean that players won't need to turn to Black Ops 6's double XP tokens to move up through the ranks.
