Activision reveals all of the maps players can check out once the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta kicks off later this week. It's a big week for fans of Treyarch's highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The annual Call of Duty Next event brought with it tons of new information, ranging from all parts of the experience, including Zombies as well as the core multiplayer mode.

Earlier this week, fans got a good look at the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 thanks to a new trailer. The footage showed off tons of new gameplay details, including glimpses of many of the 16 launch maps, though the real star of the gameplay was the new Omnimovement system. Characters in the trailer were shown moving in all sorts of directions, jumping through windows, diving over objects, as well as avoiding both bullets and thrown weapons. Thankfully, fans won't need to wait too much longer to experience all of these new elements for themselves as the game's beta is right around the corner.

The Call of Duty Next event had plenty of news to share with fans, including even more beta details and the content that players will be able to check out. A lengthy blog post laid out all of the details, confirming that 6 of the maps will be available for this weekend's first beta test. Four of the maps will be part of the Core, 6v6 activities, which include standards like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and the newly announced Kill Order. Gala and Pit are included as part of the Strike playlist which Activision calles more compact in size and work best for Face Off or 2v2 Gunfight.

Fans can start playing the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta on August 30, representing an Early Access period that runs until September 4. Players who have preordered the game or are Xbox Game Pass subscribers can jump in, while Activision will be holding an open beta during a second weekend from September 6 through the 9th for everyone to check out. Better yet, players can secure rewards for participating and leveling up on either weekend; nine cosmetic rewards ranging from sprays and charms to weapon blueprints and an operator skin as well.

During the CoD: Next event, Activision revealed the latest take on the popular Nuketown map, which has been a standard in Treyarch games for years now. Unsurprisingly, the map has seen more drastic changes, with Black Ops 6's Nuketown is actually known as Sandhouse and is considered a Strike map due to its smaller size. Unfortunately, players won't be able to try it out during the beta weekends, but it will be part of the launch day roster of 16 maps.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
