Summary
- Treyarch changed event rewards in Black Ops 6 to grant all unlocks at the event's end, letting players proceed at their own pace.
- The Archie's Festival Frenzy event in Black Ops 6 offers various rewards such as Double XP tokens and a new Sniper Rifle.
- Changes in reward distribution were likely influenced by a bug granting instant rewards, aiming for fairness.
Treyarch has made a major change to the rewards from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's ongoing Archie's Festival Frenzy holiday event. Instead of players unlocking what they earn, gamers will now earn all the rewards at the end of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 event, "so everyone can play at their own pace."
Treyarch launched the Archie's Festival Frenzy event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 a few days ago, which allowed players to collect Jolly Archies by killing enemies in multiplayer. Players can unwrap mysterious rewards Using these Jolly Archies, from Double XP tokens to a new AMR MOD 4 Sniper Rifle. The Archie's Festival Frenzy event is currently set to run until January 3, 2025, although gamers now don't need to rush through and grind to ensure they unlock all the rewards.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Characters Have Been Recast
Following rumors that cast members had been replaced, Activision confirms certain voice actors have been recast in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
This is because Treyarch has confirmed that the rewards from Archie's Festival Frenzy will now be granted to every player after the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 event comes to an end. According to the developer, this is "so everyone can play at their own pace." Over the holiday season, not every player will have the time to grind out all of the Jolly Archies, so it's cool to see that those players now don't have to worry about this over the next few weeks. Those who want to get involved in the holiday spirit in-game can still do so, especially with Black Ops 6 recently bringing back one of its most popular playlists.
Black Ops 6's Archie Festival Frenzy Rewards Will Be Available To Everyone At Event's End
What may have also influenced Treyarch's decision in this regard is the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 bug that instantly completed the Archie's Frenzy Event for many players. This meant that some players got access to all the rewards without playing a single match. The developer may have decided that this was unfair to those who miss out, even if they do play some matches and earn some Jolly Archies. It's unfortunate that this bug happened, but at least with this change, it doesn't really matter regardless.
There's plenty to come in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 over the next few months. It will be interesting to see when Season 2 launches, with Treyarch not revealing its plans for this yet. However, one big incoming change is set to prove very popular with players. Recently, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 outlined improvements coming to the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system, which will hopefully go a long way to resolving the game's cheating problem. It's one of the game's biggest complaints right now, so it's important the studio get the issue fixed.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
