A bizarre glitch in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has turned a player into a missile when using the Archangel scorestreak during a multiplayer match. Since its release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players have been encountering a plethora of bugs, glitches, and general balancing issues, and while Treyarch has deployed multiple updates to rectify many of the discovered issues, one player has run into a bug that appears to be incredibly rare.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been a huge success for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch, with Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella recently stating that this year's Call of Duty was the franchise's "biggest release ever," even breaking the record for number of day-one players while also bringing in a plethora of new Xbox Game Pass subscribers, according to the CEO. However, while the launch has been a monumental one, it hasn't been without its issues. From map controversy to numerous bugs and glitches, plenty of work still needs to be done on Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Player Experiences Rare Archangel Bug

While Black Ops 6 Season 1 will likely introduce a plethora of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, one player seems to have encountered a rare glitch that will likely go unnoticed by Treyarch. Over on Reddit, user Shaxxsdad posted a short clip to the Black Ops 6 subreddit which was jokingly titled, "Did I just become THE Archangel?" In the clip, the user can be seen attempting to use the Archangel scorestreak, which is a remote-controlled rocket launcher that can be controlled by the player when used, but the launcher appears to glitch and nothing happens. It isn't until the user runs up to an enemy and begins to fire that they appear to turn into the missile and launch directly at the enemy, killing them.

It's not clear how the user managed to pull off this weird Black Ops 6 bug, but they did note that they accidentally switched to their SMG when firing the second missile from the launcher, which could have caused the scorestreak to glitch the way it did. Many users found the bug to be pretty hilarious, especially when compared to some of the other more irritating issues found in-game. "Alright this is a funny as bug. Inconvenient yes, funny also yes," Reddit user treehug223 said, while East_Can_5142 said, "This is hilarious."

This is certainly the first time that a player has encountered a bug so humorous in Black Ops 6, but it's just one of many issues with Call of Duty's latest shooter. Earlier this week, Treyarch deployed a new update for Black Ops 6 that made multiple weapon adjustments and bug fixes, including an issue with Shotgun Slug shells. Unfortunately, the patch brought a brand-new issue along with it, as players quickly discovered their weapon optics were being reset upon entering a game. Thankfully, Treyarch was quick to address the issue and release another hotfix update just a few hours later.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
