Over the weekend gamers potentially got an early look at this year's Battlefield title thanks to a development leak and this week the other major AAA first-person shooter is in the rumor spotlight. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but if a series of leaks are to be believed, this year's Call of Duty will see a return to the Black Ops storyline.
The leak comes from a tipster who claims to have access to the GameStop database, which recently added a long list of Call of Duty: Back Ops 4 merchandise. The listings include lanyards, t-shirts, and a ton of other merch associated with the currently unannounced title.
Here's a look at the screen grabs that the tipster shared with Charlie Intel...
Although GameStop listings have frequently been proved incorrect in the past, this isn't the first time rumors of Black Ops 4 have cropped up. Only a few months back a voice actor seemingly confirmed that the title was in the works. As we get closer and closer to the summer and E3 2018, gamers can expect to find out the truth about what the coming year has in store for the CoD franchise.
At this point in time, Activision has not responded to the rumors. Check back for details.
There are currently no official details about what the 2018 Call of Duty game will be or when it will be released.
