The Microsoft Store recently leaked something called The Red Door, which appears to be an alpha for Call of Duty 2020, potentially entitled Call of Duty: Black Ops, Black Ops CIA, or Black Ops Cold War depending on who one asks. Now dataminers have been digging through The Red Door files, discovering some interesting information about Call of Duty 2020 in the process, including a list of multiplayer maps, campaign missions, and the confirmation of Zombies.
The leaked Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer maps found in The Red Door files match a leak from earlier this year, so it seems safe to say that these are very likely the multiplayer maps that fans will be able to check out in the new game. It should be noted that there is no mention of the returning Black Ops series multiplayer maps that were previously leaked (Firing Range, Jungle, Nuketown, and Summit), but perhaps those will be added at some point post-launch.
Here are the leaked Call of Duty 2020 multiplayer maps, according to The Red Door game files:
- Black Sea
- Cartel
- K.G.B.
- Miami
- Moscow
- Satellite
- Tank
- Tundra
Meanwhile, The Red Door dataminers also found a list of campaign missions, however, many of these names seem like placeholders. What they do seem to confirm is that Call of Duty 2020 will be a globetrotting game, with missions taking place in Germany, Nicaragua, Russia, and Vietnam. It even seems to indicate that Call of Duty 2020 will have players take on the role of a KGB agent, potentially one that infiltrates the United States if the "Amerika" mission is any indication, though that's just speculation at this time.
- K.G.B. (Russia)
- Siege (Russia)
- Yamantau (Russia)
- Takedown (Side Mission)
- Tundra (Side Mission)
- Hub (Germany)
- Hub 8 (Germany)
- Stakeout (Germany)
- Armada (Vietnam)
- Prisoner (Vietnam)
- Revolucion (Nicaragua)
- Amerika (Russia)
- Duga (Russia)
And finally, The Red Door datamine for Call of Duty 2020 also seems to confirm that the fan favorite Zombies mode will be returning in the new game. Dataminers have found evidence of a co-op mode codenamed "Silver" in the game files, with Treyarch having used colors as codenames for Zombies modes in past Call of Duty games.
Of course, it's always possible that plans could change between now and when Call of Duty 2020 launches, so fans should keep their expectations in check. Rumor has it that the Call of Duty 2020 reveal will take place within the Warzone battle royale, so maybe more concrete information will come sooner rather than later.
Call of Duty 2020 is rumored to be in development for unspecified platforms.
