Call of Duty: Warzone has introduced the familiar and acclaimed mechanics of the Call of Duty franchise to the battle royale genre. While many were concerned about how the mode would compete in the popular battle royale genre, it seems that Warzone has won over plenty of fans. With a large player base, games like Warzone attract players like Bartonologist, who can achieve incredible feats in-game. With a team record on Warzone already to their name, they recently topped this with a solo victory that will amaze fans
There have been some incredible kill records on Call of Duty: Warzone and Bartonologist was part of a team that managed to kill 109 players in the Quads mode. While the Quads record is still impressive, it doesn't highlight an individual's skill as much as their team composition. So Bartonologist set out to make their own mark by breaking the Solo Trio record for most individual kills in the Trio mode.
The previous kill record for a player in the Trio mode was 38, but Bartonologist was able to take out 39 opponents. The player landed in the crowded Superstore and found an Oden Assualt Rifle, without armor, and quickly took out his first 3 opponents. By the time the player moved to a new area, they had 5 kills. However, the game did not go exactly as planned, and Bartonologist did need some help. It's not against the rules to receive help from teammates when chasing this Call of Duty: Warzone record and it's still impressive.
Players who want to beat the record may have to contend with the Gulag, which is a unique part of Warzone that allows players to battle to re-enter the map. While many other battle royale kill records are achieved without ever "failing," Warzone is designed to give players numerous second chances through the Gulag and Redeploy features. Still, 39 kills is nothing to be ashamed of, and now the massive player population will try to top it.
Despite some lingering issues in Call of Duty: Warzone, it seems that the gameplay is still winning over players. There are always areas that the experience can improve, but for right now the Battle Royale is dominating the multiplayer conversation.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
