The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season is coming to an end so many players have been frantically trying to complete the Season 6 Battle Pass to unlock the level 100 rewards including the legendary Nikolai skin, the legendary AS VAL blueprint, and the Season 6 legendary vehicle skin. Luckily for players, the Season 6 Battle Pass has been given an extension.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 Battle Pass was scheduled to end on November 23rd, but has been extended until December 7th, which is notably two days before Season 1 starts in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Season 1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will integrate with Warzone so it is expected that more content will be added to Modern Warfare as well.
Many Modern Warfare and Warzone players are wondering about the next season. Although there has been very little news regarding a possible Season 7, Infinity Ward Lead Multiplayer VFX Artist Reed Shingledecker has shed some light on the future content. Shingledecker recently responded to a tweet asking if Season 7 is coming to Warzone, saying that there is more content coming after Season 6, but the VFX artist does not know what the official name is.
This has left fans skeptical on whether there will be a whole new Battle Pass or possibly just more content releasing. Since Black Ops Cold War will integrate with Warzone soon, some fans have formed theories that the content will be Black Ops Cold War inspired cosmetics, but for now, it has been confirmed that Modern Warfare players will be able to contribute to the Battle Pass in Black Ops Cold War, but none of the content will be useable in Modern Warfare.
December 10th will be an interesting day for Call of Duty players, but more information about the future of Modern Warfare and the Battle Pass is expected to released before then. However, the date could potentially mark the downfall of Modern Warfare support as Activision may shift focus to the newer title. Black Ops Cold War has gotten very positive feedback with the Zombies mode, an immersive campaign experience and added content like the Nuketown '84 map.
With the Season 6 Battle Pass extended, it give players plenty of time to complete every tier and also enjoy Warzone before any possible changes on December 10th. For now, players can expect new content after Season 6, but more information is expected to release soon.
