Earlier today, Infinity Ward revealed a new trailer detailing some of the new content coming to season 3 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. For Warzone, this include the new 4-man Quads game mode as well as some new vehicles, and for Modern Warfare, this included new maps, seeing the operators in action, and more. One place where the two potentially separate games come together, however, is the season pass.
The season pass details a new sniper rifle and pistol coming to the games in Season 3, namely the SKS and Renetti. The SKS is a lightweight, semi-auto cabine that uses 7.62x399mm rounds. Described as a "hard hitting an agile Soviet-styl marksman rifle," it focuses on utility and has a higher fire rate than other weapons in its class but can eliminate the need for that with a well-placed shot. In other words, if its gameplay lives up to its description, it could shake up the Modern Warfare tier lists, as well as Warzone's too.
The Renetti is similar in description, as it "can be kitted for a variety of situations." Customization can lead to some interesting hidden weapons in Modern Warfare, and while it remains to be seen if the Renetti is that customizable as well, it certainly sounds like it. Still, as a semi-auto 9mm pistol with an alt 3-round burst, it is most effective at close range.
These weapons will unlock at tier 15 and 31 of the Battle Pass, which shouldn't take fans long. After all, one of the quickest ways to level up in Modern Warfare is to load up a hectic small map and go to town. Of course, some may prefer to check out the three new maps releasing with Modern Warfare season 3 first.
Either way, fans don't have to wait much longer to check out all the content that season 3 has to offer, as Warzone and Modern Warfare season 3's start date is April 8.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
