The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community currently has a bit of a love-hate relationship with the map Shipment. On the one hand, players can rack up a ton of kills they wouldn't otherwise be able to on other maps, but on the other hand, it's also possible to be repeatedly spawn-killed before they can really do anything. As one of the smallest maps in the game, Shipment's size takes a lot of responsibility for these benefits and issues, but not all it. The map's layout deserves some credit (and blame), too. Recognizing this, one Modern Warfare player has suggested a design change for Shipment. RELATED: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Shipment Glitch Lets Players Cheat The idea revolves around changing Shipment's current layout to the one it had originally before being implemented into Modern Warfare. Currently, there sits a set of two containers on the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the map. The containers closest to the map's borders open up on both ends to allows players alternative ways to getting around than just the obvious lanes. However, because these containers sit straight and aligned, they allow for players to see their enemies spawning, resulting in a majority of the map's spawning issues. The idea then would be to tilt these open containers just enough to block these lines of sight and to allow players to spawn safely unseen in the new gaps between the open container and the map border and its adjacent twin. Considering this idea uses the original design of Shipment, it's already been tried and tested, and the majority of those who got to play on it loved it. There wouldn't be much risk in changing the current design.

Reddit user naz_nasty suggested this idea. The hope that most of the responders to the post have is that Infinity Ward will do something along these lines to patch up the spawn system for Shipment. However, most don't believe that Infinity Ward will, as many members of the Modern Warfare community has had issues with the way the developers have handled the game in the time following its release.

Since Shipment is a fan-favorite map, Infinity Ward might try something to balance it out in the future, but whether it will, and how exactly it will go about doing so if it does, remains to be seen. Changing the map's layout, however, doesn't seem like the way the developer would approach it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
