Summary

  • Unlucky Call of Duty players are facing bans whule trying to enjoy the Black Ops 6 beta, including pro players.
  • The cause of these bans is unknown, though it could potentially be tied to the Ricochet anti-cheat system malfunctioning.
  • Treyarch is working on adjustments to reduce the ban issues and address other complaints about the beta.

Players have reportedly been banned from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta shortly after it officially launched. The beta allows players to get their hands on the game early while also giving Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch valuable information about what needs changing or fixing. Currently, one of Black Ops 6's biggest issues seems to be its anti-cheat system, which has incorrectly issued bans to a number of players.

Black Ops 6 is perhaps one of the most anticipated games of 2024, taking the decades-old Call of Duty franchise into new, exciting territory. While fan-favorite features are returning in droves, such as Call of Duty's classic prestige system, Black Ops 6 is doing a lot of things differently, with one of its biggest changes being how players move. Treyarch unveiled Black Ops 6's new movement system earlier this year, showing off the incredibly generous range of movement options players will be able to take advantage of during their gaming sessions. While Black Ops 6's Zombies and campaign modes are still off-limits, players can enjoy the game's multiplayer mode in the new beta. However, a number of players have been issued bans during their time in the Black Ops 6 beta, with Treyarch now working on a solution.

Unfortunately for those that have yet to upgrade, one Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 feature is skipping PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

Per CharlieIntel, a number of players have been given "temporary" bans in Call of Duty after enjoying the Black Ops 6 beta despite them not actually cheating. The list of bans for Black Ops 6's beta reportedly includes both regular and professional players and is possibly a result of Call of Duty's anti-cheat system. The Black Ops 6 beta officially rolled out on August 30 and is available to those who pre-ordered the game, as well as those who subscribe to Microsoft's Game Pass service.

Players Banned From Black Ops 6 Beta

The ban wave prompted a response from the Call of Duty team, which shared an update confirming changes are now on the way. The team will soon "make adjustments to reduce issues players have been experiencing" in Black Ops 6. It's unknown exactly what is causing players to be banned from the Black Ops 6 beta at this time. Treyarch aksi addressed complaints about weapon XP in the Black Ops 6 beta as well, announcing that a fix for that issue is in the pipeline too.

The Black Ops 6 beta will open up to all players on September 6 and will officially end on September 9, giving fans a little over a week left to enjoy this special first look at Black Ops 6. Alongside robust new multiplayer and campaign modes, Black Ops 6 will also usher in the next chapter of Call of Duty's ever-expanding Zombies mode. Black Ops 6 will feature two round-based Zombies maps at launch, with the game set to receive several exciting upgrades as Black Ops 6's lifecycle continues.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
