Brawl Stars is a popular multiplayer mobile game that sees players face off in a variety of game modes, choosing from a huge selection of brawlers, each with unique abilities. One of these abilities is a Hypercharge, a powerful ability that players can purchase for 5,000 gold once a brawler reaches their maximum level (11).
Brawl Stars: Every Legendary Brawler, Ranked From Worst To Best
Brawl Stars currently features 11 Legendary Brawlers for players to make use of. Here is how they compare to one another.
Like a brawler’s super ability, hypercharges charge throughout a match but at a slower rate. When activated, the hypercharge boosts the brawler’s movement speed, damage, and shield by a percentage that differs between brawlers. It also increases the power of their Super, giving players the upper hand in battle. This list covers the 10 best hypercharges players can use, but ones not included on this list are still worth purchasing if players have the spare gold.
10 Seismic Smash (Frank)
A Stun Attack That Almost No One Can Escape
- Movement Speed Boost: +26%
- Damage Boost: +5%
- Shield Boost: +25%
Frank’s regular super affects enemies in front of him, dealing damage and stunning them for two seconds if they are hit. However, Frank’s Seismic Smash hypercharge makes his super affect everything in a circular radius around him, making it much harder for enemies to evade. Plus, the hypercharge boosts Frank’s movement speed, allowing him to get closer to enemies before using his super, which can wipe out an entire team if it connects.
Despite the wider area of effect, Frank’s hypercharge doesn’t shorten the super’s attack delay, and it has a shorter range than his regular super, with a radius of 6.33 tiles instead of seven. Therefore, any enemies at the edge of his attack range still have ample time to escape.
9 Supermassive (Tara)
Summon A Massive Enemy-Pulling Portal
- Movement Speed Boost: +24%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Tara’s hypercharge does just what it says: making Tara’s portal supermassive. This makes it much easier for Tara to pull enemies in and quickly eliminate them with her 25% damage increase and piercing cards. This is amazing for control game modes such as Gem Grab or Hot Zone, where enemies are more grouped together, as one hypercharged super from Tara can flip the match on its head.
Plus, if Tara grabs multiple enemies with her super and eliminates them, this will charge a second super that can either be used immediately or later. Overall, Supermassive is a brilliant hypercharge that makes it easy for Tara and her allies to wipe out the enemy team in one go.
8 Teen Spirit (Colette)
Summons A Spirit That Follows Colette During Her Super
- Movement Speed Boost: +26%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
For her hypercharge, Colette’s spirit follows her during her dash, dealing extra damage to enemies. When the spirit hits an enemy brawler, it deals 1,000 damage — ok, but not game changing. However, when the spirit hits a special target (Heist Safe, Nita’s Bear, or Jessie’s Turret, for example), it deals 5,000 damage, making it excellent against certain brawlers and incredible in the Heist game mode.
Brawl Stars: 10 Best Mythic Brawlers, Ranked
Mythic Brawlers are the second-rarest type of brawler in Brawl Stars. But which ones in this category are the best? Here are the top picks.
Additionally, if Colette deals enough damage in her first dash to charge a second super, she can use it again, summoning another spirit that can deal even more damage. Dashing through enemy brawlers, hitting their safe, and then dashing back again can quickly win a game of Heist. However, due to its specificity, there are more powerful hypercharges for a wider range of situations.
7 Scrappy 2.0 (Jessie)
Same Turret, But Bigger And Better
- Movement Speed Boost: +26%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Jessie’s hypercharge makes her turret, Scrappy, a huge threat to enemies, with high health and more damage. Activating her hypercharge and throwing down a turret in a high traffic area can turn the tide of battle as it soaks up damage — while doing a lot itself. Pair this with Jessie’s Recoil Spring gadget, which doubles the turret's attack speed for five seconds, and Scrappy becomes even stronger.
Jessie’s hypercharge makes her even better in Heist, with her turret being able to deal huge damage to the enemy safe while being more difficult to take out. It also increases her viability in control game modes since Scrappy’s higher health total can help to dominate an area of the map.
6 Hyperbearing (Nita)
What's Better Than A Big Bear? An Even Bigger Bear!
- Movement Speed Boost: +26%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Much like Jessie, Nita’s hypercharge makes her spawned unit even stronger. Instead of a turret, Nita summons her bear companion, Bruce, whose movement speed and health is increased when summoned during Nita’s hypercharge. This makes Bruce a nightmare for enemies, as he can close in on them much faster and is harder to eliminate. Plus, with Nita’s speed increase, she can follow Bruce to apply even more pressure, making her stronger in a range of game modes.
Paired with Nita’s Hyperbear star power, which speeds up Bruce’s attack speed, he is a real threat to enemies and is great against the enemy safe in Heist. Overall, Bruce’s ability to move and chase after the enemy makes him more overbearing than Jessie’s turret.
5 Unlimited Energy (Max)
More Speed, More Supers
- Movement Speed Boost: +24%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Max’s Unlimited Energy hypercharge throws an energy drink to her teammates regardless of where they are on the map, increasing their movement speed and charging their super by 25%. In particular, Max’s boost to her teammates’ supers can be very useful, depending on what brawlers are on her team.
Not only does the hypercharge greatly support Max’s team, but it also makes Max herself very powerful, granting her an incredibly fast movement speed that makes her almost impossible to deal with. Overall, Max’s hypercharge is a good all-around boost to her already powerful and useful ability.
4 Limbo (Leon)
Stay Stealthy Even While Attacking
- Movement Speed Boost: +24%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: + 5%
Leon’s Limbo hypercharge allows him to remain invisible while attacking and taking damage, making him significantly more difficult to pin down and take out. Add to this the speed and damage boost he gets, and Leon can quickly and stealthily close in on his enemies and take them out, all while remaining invisible.

Plus, both of his star powers pair perfectly with the hypercharge. Smoke Trails makes his movement ridiculously fast, allowing him to close in on enemies with incredible speed. Alternatively, Invisiheal keeps him alive for much longer, as he is able to heal while he takes damage and fights back.
3 Boomer (Dynamike)
Throws A Bigger Bomb That Explodes Into Smaller Pieces
- Movement Speed Boost: +25%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Dynamike’s hypercharge has one job, to deal even more damage to enemies when his super is used. In fact, with his hypercharge active, Dynamike can single-handedly wipe out the enemy team. When using his Demolition star power, which adds 1,600 damage to his super, there are few brawlers in the game who can survive a direct blast from Dynamike’s hypercharged bomb that deals a whopping 7,500 damage on impact and shoots pieces of dynamite out from it, dealing 2,250 damage each to any targets further away from the blast area. Without his Demolition star power, the hypercharged super deals significantly less damage in both stages of its explosion.
Furthermore, because of the high damage Dynamike's hypercharged super deals, he often charges up another super that he can immediately use while his hypercharge is still active, causing even more carnage, or he can save it for later, depending on the situation.
2 Swift Winds (Sandy)
Is There Anything A Sandstorm Can't Do?
- Movement Speed Boost: +25%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
Swift Winds makes Sandy’s sandstorm super even stronger. Not only does the hypercharged sandstorm grant a 20% speed boost for Sandy and his allies, but it also silences enemies for 0.5 seconds when it lands, stopping them from attacking and using any gadgets, supers, or hypercharges, which makes it a great counter to other powerful hypercharge brawlers. The speed boost also allows Sandy and his teammates to quickly close in on enemies or to escape them while remaining invisible inside the sandstorm.
These two additions, alongside his already powerful sandstorm super, and the damage and speed boost Sandy gets, make a hypercharged Sandy perfect for controlling any area of the map, particularly in Gem Grab and Hot Zone.
1 Slushie Storm (Lou)
Instantly Freeze Enemies
- Movement Speed Boost: +26%
- Damage Boost: +25%
- Shield Boost: +5%
While Lou may not be the strongest brawler, his hypercharge significantly increases his power. When his hypercharge is active, Lou’s super instantly freezes enemy brawlers for 1.5 seconds when it lands. Because of the super’s long range, throwable deployment, and large radius, it is easy to land and gives Lou and his team a free kill on anyone who gets stunned.
Furthermore, if Lou lands enough shots while his hypercharge is active, he can throw a second hypercharged super down to stun any remaining enemies and lock down more areas of the map. Overall, Lou’s hypercharge makes him excellent at area control and can often turn the tide of a match in his favor by eliminating the entire enemy team in one go.
