Irreversible is a level in Braid that allows players to experience the weight and complexity that come with a puzzle platformer that revolves around time. This Irreversible puzzle will require you to be aware of your surroundings, as rewinding will not save you and may result in you needing to start the level over in order to find the solution. How To Get The First Puzzle Piece In Irreversible

A lot of players may not understand what has happened upon first encountering this level. Players will notice two trolls coming at them, and this may distract them from the two moving platforms, a vertical one that glows green and a non-glowing horizontal one. The trick to solving this puzzle is to not rewind time until the non-glowing platform makes it all the way to the other side.

If you rewind time, the platform will rewind, and the glowing green platform will block it from being able to cover the spike pit. Take out both of the trolls and the bunny, then wait for the platform to safely pass by the vertical glowing green platform. Players can now use the non-glowing platform to reach the first puzzle piece.

How To Get The Second & Third Puzzle Pieces In Irreversible

Head right until you find a ladder. Then, climb down the ladder and get the key on the left side. Use it to open the glowing green locked door on the right and then rewind so that the key repairs itself. Because the door was glowing green, it will stay open. Open the second door and grab the second puzzle piece before going down the ladder.

To your right will be a locked door, a glowing green locked door, and another locked door. You will see a key, but do not take it. Instead, go all the way to the left and climb down the ladder to find a glowing green key. Once you get it, you can reverse time until you are back at the locked doors.

It is important to understand glowing green objects from how they were used in earlier puzzles, as they will be used for future ones as well. Use the glowing green key to open the first locked door, grab the key on the left side to open the glowing green locked door, then reverse time to repair the key to unlock the final locked door and claim the third puzzle piece of the level. Climb back up the ladder you came from and run all the way to the right to find the door that will let you leave the level.
