The Hunt! Level for World 4 in Braid shares the same layout as the World 2 level of the same name. While the World 2 equivalent lets you take out enemies in any order, the World 4 variant will automatically rewind time if you move to the left, undoing any and all enemies you take out.
At times, this can seem to make getting the puzzle piece unsolvable. However, it becomes rather simple once you realize every enemy will always have the same position as where Tim is on the map. This means taking out whichever enemy aligns with Tim as he moves from the starting door will be the order they need to be jumped on — while moving to the right.

How To Get The Hunt! Puzzle Piece In Braid
There are many puzzle pieces in plain sight with a trick to getting them, and you will need to take in this level's layout as a whole to understand this puzzle's trick. Firstly, you will need to make your way up to the top of the level, which you can do by following these steps:
- Climb up both ladders and then run right, using one of the trolls to reach the ledge on the far right.
- Climb up the ladder and run to the very left of the map.
- While moving right, jump on the troll that walks on the highest platform.
- Climb down the ladder and jump on the same troll you jumped on before to get to the top ledge of the second ladder. Do not try to get to this ledge using the second ladder, as it will cause time to rewind and the top troll to no longer be defeated.
- Take out the troll on this platform, but do not go too far left — otherwise, you will need to start over.
- Take out the troll on the platform below, and then jump on the troll at the bottom to make it to the platform on the right.
You do have enough wiggle room to drop down to the bottom level, jump on the troll, and even climb up the first ladder.
Now comes the trickiest part of the level, and the reason most will be seeking a guide. The game’s commentary option in Braid, Anniversary Edition does show the order you should be using, but it does not mention a fundamental mechanic of the game. When you jump on an enemy, you can get an even higher jump from doing it a second time.
Normally, you cannot do this when there is just one enemy, but thanks to this level automatically rewinding when you move left, you can jump on the enemy while you are moving to the left to avoid killing it. Then you turn around midair and land on it a second time while moving right for a higher jump that will let you reach the ledge. You can now take out the final enemy and get the puzzle piece.
