Braid, Anniversary Edition offers some new features but also keeps all the puzzles from the original Braid. You will see there is a sparkling green platform that will not be affected by time manipulation hovering over part of a spike pit. There is also an island with a lever. Head over to this lever and pull it so that the platform moves all the way to its left side. Rewind Time back to the start.

The troll will now be able to cross safely to the other side using the sparkling green platform. Once the troll gets the key, jump on its head and take the key. Players can then head back to the island and pull the lever, cross over to the right side to open the locked door, and grab the first puzzle piece.

How To Get The Second Puzzle Piece In The Ground Beneath Her Feet

For the next puzzle piece, head to where the troll starts the level and then move to the right. You will find another lever and another glowing green platform. Pull the lever so that the platform is on the right side. Then, use the ladder to get higher and go and stand above the puzzle piece for a second or two. Run to the left, but do not go down the ladder. Instead, walk over the edge on the far left. Go back and pull the lever, which will cause the platform to move left and block the ladder.

Rewind time to the point where you are above the puzzle piece and then let time resume. This will cause you to drop onto the puzzle piece. The puzzle piece will be glowing green, which means that you can rewind time again and return to the other side without losing the puzzle piece — mechanics such as this make for a great time manipulation puzzle-solving experience. Pull the lever and then cross the green platform to find the door to the next level on the far right.
