Most of the materials that Link can collect in Breath of the Wild can be found in the wild. They can be hiding in plain sight, or they require some extra work. Then there are materials that are store-exclusive and will cost Link around ten Rupees, such as Cane Sugar, which is a common ingredient in dessert recipes.

Cane Sugar in Breath of the Wild is not only good for cooking fancy meals. It's also necessary for a few early to mid-game side quests. Thus, those ddetermined to add Cane Sugar to their inventory will want to look to the northern and western regions of Hyrule.

Which Stores Sell Cane Sugar?

While Cane Sugar can't be farmed the same way as Tabantha Wheat or fish, it's a purchasable item in most general stores in Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately, one of stores that sells Cane Sugar is located in an area with dangerous climate. This requires Link to equip heat, cold, or flame-resistant gear when visiting. Furthermore, merchants only sell three bundles at a time (12 Rupees a piece). If players want more than three per shop, they'll need to wait in-game for items to restock.

Here's every store that sells Cane Sugar:

There's also a traveling merchant named Yammo at the Tabantha Bridge Stable. She sells 5 bundles of Cane Sugar for 12 rupees a piece. However, she only sells Cane Sugar when it's raining. Players can make it rain by resting at a fire or inn.
