Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Bosch: Legacy for season 3, with no official release date being revealed yet. Titus Welliver will reprise his role of Harry Bosch alongside Mimi Rogers as the ferocious defense lawyer, Honey 'Money' Chandler. Season 2 teased Chandler's intention to become the new District Attorney in the upcoming season, and this has fans speculating over whether her run for DA could cause some tension with Harry Bosch, who appears to be slowly moving to the dark side.

Bosch and Chandler have had their differences in the past on Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, but season 2 of the spin-off series saw them officially working together on the Lexi Parks murder case and continuing their budding friendship. But season 3 could flip that dynamic on its head if Chandler gets the top prosecutor job. Bosch: Legacy Season 3 will also see the return of Madison Lintz as LAPD rookie cop Maddie Bosch. Stephen A. Chang and Denise G. Sanchez are also expected to return as Maurice 'Mo' Bassi and Reina Vasquez respectively. Season 3 will be based on a mixture of Michael Connelly's 1993 book, The Black Ice and his 2022 book, Desert Star, and it'll feature a Renee Ballard spin-off crossover.

Bosch Legacy - What Happened To Lexi Parks?

Bosch: Legacy season 2 focused on the investigation into the murder of Lexi Parks, with Bosch and Chandler on the case.

Will Chandler become the DA in Season 3?

After spending the entirety of Bosch and Bosch: Legacy as a defense attorney, Honey Chandler announced her plans to run for District Attorney towards the end of season 2, after discovering the current DA's corrupt behavior in the Lexi Parks murder case, where she successfully exonerated David Foster for the crime.

Chandler met up with the former chief of police, Irvin Irving (played by the late Lance Reddick), to seek his support to run for the top prosecuting job, and he appeared to be willing to put his support behind her. Bosch: Legacy Season 3 looks set to follow Chandler's run for DA, and if her determination in her criminal cases is anything to go by , Chandler is bound to be successful in her campaign. But what could this mean for her working relationship with Harry Bosch?

Will Bosch's potential dark descent put them on different sides?

Throughout the run of the original Bosch series, Harry Bosch was a legendary LAPD detective who always tried to do the right thing despite his unconventional methods. He often found himself at loggerheads with defense attorney, Honey Chandler, who was usually representing the guilty party in a case. But as the seasons progressed, Bosch would come to respect Chandler's methods.

At the end of Bosch season 7, Bosch leaves the LAPD under a cloud and registers to become a private investigator. At the start of Bosch Legacy season 1, he has very much settled into his new job, has some dealings with Chandler, and helps out on some of her cases. She is keen to get Bosch officially on her books and working on cases with her. By the time season 2 rolls around, Bosch and Chandler are working together on a murder case, and they discover Chandler's client, David Foster, is actually innocent.

Harry Bosch seems more and more willing to bend the rules now that he has the shackles of the LAPD released upon him and seems to gradually be moving towards the dark side. When Maddie Bosch is kidnapped by Kurt Dockweiler, the ex-detective's methods blur the lines between what is legal and illegal.

In the final episode of Bosch: Legacy season 2, Maddie answers her father's phone, and speaks to a convict called Preston Borders, who claims Bosch ordered the hit on Kurt Dockweiler, and when her father returns from walking the dog, she confronts him as the season ends on a cliffhanger.

Interestingly enough, this confrontation comes soon after Bosch and Maddie had a conversation about the prospect of her father working with Chandler if she was to be successful in her bid to become DA:

DA investigators mostly deliver subpoenas and drive witnesses to court. It's not my bag.

It appears Bosch has no intention of working for Chandler if she wins the election to become DA, so if she is successful, which she more than likely will be, this could pit the two frenemies against each other. Bosch appears to have embraced the dark side of the private sector, and ironically, Bosch and Chandler appear to have switched sides.

Dad, what did you do?

There hasn't been any confirmation on whether Harry Bosch was involved in Kurt Dockweiler's death or not, as season 2 ended on this note, but it appears he might've had something to do with it. It would be a case of trick baiting to make the audience tune in for season 3 if he wasn't involved, which isn't typically what the Bosch universe does. Fans will have to wait for season 3 to get the answer to this question, as well as find out if Chandler becomes the next DA.
