Madison Lintz Teases A Shocking New Case For Maddie And A Complicated Dynamic With Harry In Bosch: Legacy Season 3
What can you tease the fans about the string of home robberies Maddie Bosch will be investigating in the upcoming season?
There is definitely a moment this season that I don’t think anyone will see coming. I know Maddie CERTAINLY did not. Just when she thought she had the whole fighting crime thing down…
One of my favorite aspects of both shows is the evolution of Maddie's relationship with her father. However, things were left at a very precarious point with that cliffhanger at the end of season 2. Does season 3 pick up directly from that point? And is there anything you can tell us about where Maddie and Harry's relationship is heading this year?
It doesn’t pick up directly from that point, but you will get some context as to what happened after that moment, as well as how that has colored things since then. Maddie and Bosch’s relationship is an interesting one. They dance around the emotional stuff as much as they can, but sometimes it’s not always possible. The bottom line is, they only have each other in this world, and they know it. Sometimes it just takes some time to work through things the “Bosch” way.
Lintz Has A Message For All The Fans Who Signed The Petition To Save Bosch: Legacy
Do you have a message for all the fans who have signed the Save Bosch: Legacy petition? The cast and crew were very vocal in their support for the petition to save the original show, but in all fairness, it has been very quiet this time around. Why is that?
I am very grateful to my Bosch family. Our fans are a part of that family. We see you, and we hear you and love you. Sometimes the industry “industries” if you’ll allow my Gen Z turn of phrase. The Bosch universe lives on through the Ballard Spin-off.
Obviously, the Bosch family dog, Coltrane, can't speak for himself, so would you be able to give us an insight into his arc this season? The fans keep meaning to launch The Save Coltrane Petition!!! One more season to wrap up his story.
Coltrane is a very devoted actor and gives, in my opinion, the performance of a lifetime in this new season. His talent almost makes up for how much of a DIVA he is (jk, he’s an angel).

Maddie Bosch's Trauma Might Be Explored In Season 3 And The Bosch-verse Will Live On With The Ballard Spin-Off
Maddie suffered extreme trauma after her kidnapping by Kurt Dockweiler in season 2. Will we see this trauma manifest itself in season 3 or is she firmly in recovery mode now?
I’m sure if you asked Maddie, she’d say she’s “firmly in recovery mode”. However, if you ask me, I think trauma will always find a way to manifest itself, and it’s more a matter of growing to make space for it. The pursuit of allowing it its moment and then allowing it to pass. I definitely think this will be easier said than done for her.
Michael Connelly's book 'The Waiting' features one particular storyline which sees Maddie team up with Ballard to investigate a case from the Library Of Lost Souls. What are the chances of Maddie turning up in the Ballard spin-off at some point in the future?
I could see Maddie showing up at some point in the spin-off. I think that’d be super cool. I can’t wait to watch it just as a fan. I love the Ballard novels; they’re definitely my favorites of Michael Connelly’s books. Check out the audiobook version of “The Waiting”. You may hear a familiar voice.
