Bosch: Legacy's seventh episode begins in the courtroom with a hearing in the People vs Diego Para. Honey Chandler has assumed the role of lead prosecutor in the case, and announces that the DA's office will be charging Para with six counts of armed robbery, and not murder. The media are waiting on the steps outside the court, and they ask Chandler why she hasn't charged Para with murder, and she dodges all questions and leaves. Elsewhere, Harry Bosch and Maurice 'Mo' Bassi discuss the Finbar McShane case, while also working on a plan to retrace Jimmy Robertson's steps, in order to solve his murder. Elsewhere, Chandler takes a call from the police chief, and reiterates her intention to get true justice for Robertson.

Denise Vasquez has called in sick after the discovery in Bosch: Legacy's sixth episode, that her nephew Albert is potentially linked to the follow home robberies. She meets with Albert to question him over his potential involvement, and he denies it. She tells him to come clean, and tells him the police have proof of Nestor trying to sell a watch that was stolen from one of the follow home robberies. Meanwhile, Bosch asks Shaz if Robertson had any plans to meet anyone after finishing his drink on the night he was murdered, but she insists his plan was to go straight home. However, Bosch finds an address for a garage in one of Robertson's pockets when looking through his belongings. He meets up with DEA agent Charlie Hovan, and he confirms that Robertson was working on a case with the DEA. Bosch calls Perry Lopez (Miles Gaston Villanueva) to ask him what cases Robertson was working on before he died, and he tells him he was looking into a body dump in south LA, but the case files are under lock and key, but he agrees to look into it.

What Does The Black Ice And Fentanyl Have To Do With Jimmy Robertson Murder In Bosch: Legacy?

Harry Bosch on a crime scene

Jade Quinn finds an UNO card with a note asking her to attend a meeting at a restaurant. Turns out, it was from Mo 'Maurice' Bassi, and the pair meet, and he asks for access to a sealed file on the McShane case. She weighs up whether to help him, but later on, visits him at his apartment with the file in hand. Elsewhere, the body dump in south LA leads Bosch and Perez to a hotel in Lancaster, where somebody checked in last October, but never checked out. Elsewhere, it's discovered that Diego Para's DNA was not on the bullets found at Robertson's crime scene, but those of an unknown male were.

Maddie finds out that Vasquez has removed a piece of evidence relating to phone records in the follow home robberies, and visits Bosch to ask him what to do if she has suspicions that an officer might be crossing the line. Later on, Vasquez gets a visit from Maddie, and she questions her about Albert and his links to the follow home robberies.

'You have to decide how much of the gray you're willing to live in'

Bosch meets with Charlie Hovan again, and he confirms that Robertson asked his DEA contact about a drug known as The Black Ice, as well as fetanyl and its links to the body found in south LA. Bosch tells Chandler he thinks Robertson went to the taco truck to meet with someone, and he was set up and targeted specifically. Chandler asks Bosch if this could mean a link to drug cartels, and based upon the efforts made to frame Para, he thinks it could be. The conversation is interrupted by a phone call informing Chandler that the DNA found on the bullets in Robertson's case is connected to the case he was working on. Coincidence?

No chance. This was a hit. This is sicarios.
