This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has done an incredible job at introducing an intriguing villain group. While the predecessor series focused more on the members of Kara, now, the focus is on a new group of individuals known as Shinju. As fans know, Shinju are powerful beings created from the Ten Tails by giving it sentience. All this was accomplished thanks to Code, and now, Boruto fans have some very formidable villains to look forward to seeing in action.
It's Time To Welcome The New Itachi Uchiha Of The Naruto Franchise
Itachi has a new heir, and it's a character from Boruto.
Out of all the Shinju, however, there is only one that can be compared to Madara Uchiha in terms of how well written he is, and characterization. This villain is none other than Jura, the strongest of the Shinju. It has been years since the Naruto franchise has had a villain as exciting as Madara, and Jura might just be the very first one since his death in the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Jura Is The Best Villain In Boruto So Far
The Boruto series has introduced fans to numerous exciting villains. There was Momoshiki at the beginning of the series and while he was certainly exciting, he did not elicit the same fear and excitement in fans. Isshiki was yet another powerful villain, and once again, he certainly lived up to the expectations as far as power levels go. However, overall, he still fell flat.

Now, Boruto has a bigger villain than ever before in the form of Jura. So far, Jura has shown tremendous potential. Not only is he a monstrously powerful individual, but he has a unique personality and a very intriguing thirst for knowledge. Jura doesn't just exist to kill for the sake of it. He clearly wants to grow further and understand emotions, especially love. This is something that might remind fans of the Naruto series. Kishimoto often used to write villains centered around the theme of love, or specifically, the loss of love.
Jura's Character Writing Has A Ton Of Potential
So far, it is quite clear to see that Jura is a brilliant character and Kishimoto and Ikemoto are doing a phenomenal job writing him. His character Arc is nowhere close to its conclusion at the moment, which makes things even more exciting as far as the future of Boruto is concerned.

Naruto is returning soon, as Kishimoto has already confirmed in Boruto.

Jura Is Far Stronger Than Madara Uchiha
Of course, in terms of strength, there is no competition between Jura and Madara. As far as power levels go, Madara cannot compare to Jura because the latter is way too powerful. He's strong enough to leave even the likes of the Otsutsuki in the dust, and strong as Madara is, he cannot compete with that. However, Madara is still the better villain of the two.
Jura, on the other hand, holds a ton of potential and is the first villain introduced in Boruto that has a shot at rivaling Madara later down the line, once his character arc is completed. Fans absolutely cannot wait to see how Jura develops in the future, and it is certainly going to be very exciting.
