This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

For many fans, nothing compares to the excitement of seeing a powerful new jutsu unleashed in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, especially when popular characters like Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and even Boruto himself use it. These impressive new jutsus capture attention, compelling fans to figure out their mechanics and gauge their effectiveness.

At this point, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has already introduced a few powerful jutsu that are not to be underestimated for different reasons. While some of these techniques can potentially kill someone in one direct attack, others pose a more subtle threat as they exploit weaknesses and loopholes in ways that are just as deadly. With that, here are the strongest new jutsu in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.

Mind Body Transmission Formation

Inojin’s Upgraded Mind Body Transmission Technique

Inojin Yamanaka has been making a name for himself in recent chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex for his growing importance in protecting Himawari Uzumaki from Jura and the Shinju clones. To prevent Himawari’s future death, Inojin has been training relentlessly, harnessing his artistic ninjutsu and mind techniques. At the same time, he is working closely with Boruto and Kashin Koji just to accelerate his growth despite his ill feelings toward the suspicious duo.

Through Kashin Koji’s guidance, Inojin developed an upgraded version of the Mind Body Transmission Technique called Mind Body Transmission Formation to detect the suppressed chakra signatures of the Shinju, especially Mamushi. This technique also turns the targets into receivers, allowing them to detect nearby enemies through their unique vibrations or wave frequency. Plus, it is also undetectable to other sensors, making it a secure line to share valuable intel among select people at once.

However, similar to the original Mind Body Transmission Technique, the downside of this upgraded version lies not only in the strain it places on Inojin’s chakra but also in restricting the number of targets he can maintain at once.

Flying Thunder God Technique

Boruto’s Version of Flying Raijin

First of all, Boruto Uzumaki has zero knowledge of the true flying thunder god technique, which automatically eliminates any possibility of him replicating it perfectly from observation or experience alone. However, this doesn’t mean he can’t make the technique work, as the present Boruto has found a way to achieve near-identical results by harnessing his Otsutsuki teleportation ability.

Unlike the original technique, Boruto’s Flying Raijin relies heavily on his Otsutsuki teleportation ability and use of various metal objects suitable for chakra markings. From kunai, pins, and even Sasuke’s sword, these metals act as markers that allow Boruto to teleport instantly. Each metal should also have unique shapes for Boruto’s convenience. In short, Boruto’s flying raijin has more limitations than the original technique.

Division

Shinju Mamushi’s Unique Replication Ability

Division is just one of Shinju Mamushi’s abilities, but the effect has been so disruptive that even experienced ninjas like Boruto struggle to contain each one of his copies. Speaking of copies, Division allows Mamushi to replicate himself without dividing his chakra, power, and instinct. This means that every copy is Mamushi at full strength, capable of independent combat while multiplying the threat exponentially.

Those who don’t know how to counter Mamushi’s division ability properly would be at a severe disadvantage, as he can duplicate perfect copies infinitely. Fighting against him becomes a numbers game, but if his weaknesses were exploited, his countless duplicates could quickly become a liability due to their decreased intelligence.

Prescience or Ten Directions

Kashin Koji’s Shinjutsu

Seeing and knowing multiple futures is a rare shinjutsu that only Kashin Koji has awakened in the series. Referred to as Prescience or Ten Directions, Kashin Koji receives visions of possible outcomes, allowing him to anticipate enemy attacks and simply stay ahead of the opponent. Unexpectedly, he puts his shinjutsu to good use by guiding Boruto with regard to his power-ups, training, and strategies, despite their history.

So far, Kashin Koji’s prescience has been very useful, especially in strategizing against the Shinju Clones. Without it, Boruto would struggle immensely to keep Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki and Karma in check, all while trying to survive against formidable opponents like Kawaki and Code.

Still, Kashin Koji is a very secretive person, much like Amado, who prefers to limit the information he shares to protect himself. He reveals only what is necessary and what serves his immediate goals. This makes Prescience even more dangerous, as his combination of foresight and selective disclosure renders him completely unpredictable.

Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo

Boruto’s High-Level Sword Technique

As Sasuke Uchiha’s apprentice, Boruto has learned and absorbed everything his master has taught him, including his excellent swordsmanship and the integration of chakra for maximum damage and effect. One of those techniques is the Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo, which Boruto has been consistently using in fights against Jura and the Shinju Clones.

Basically, the Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo allows Boruto to coat Sasuke's Sword of Kusanagi with his chakra for enhanced durability, sharpness, and cutting ability. The technique prevents the sword from being easily dulled or damaged, ensuring it maintains peak effectiveness in prolonged battles.

However, maintaining the Hagoromo is difficult, as it demands a large part of Boruto’s focus and attention. Thankfully, Sumire just upgraded Boruto’s sword through advanced scientific methods, eliminating much of the strain required to sustain Hagoromo.

Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume

Sarada’s First Mangekyo Sharingan Ability

Boruto Strongest Uchiha Clan Member Sarada Uchiha

Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume has already claimed its first victim in Boruto, and that is none other than the Shinju Ryu. His death happened faster than expected, as Sarada demonstrated impressive control over her first Mangekyo Sharingan ability, almost as if she had been using the technique repeatedly when it was just her first time.

Ohirume is so powerful and dangerous that Ryu can’t even do anything, not even lift a finger, after he was pulled by the immense gravitational force provided by the black spheres, which Sarada created from nothing. Just like that, in the blink of an eye, Ryu vanished, disappearing without a trace except for the shinju's thorn soul bulb. This is Sarada’s ultimate move at present, and it is truly deadly.

Regrettably, there were high expectations for Ryu as a formidable opponent, but Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume completely shattered those assumptions. The toll, however, on Sarada’s body is intense, meaning repeated and prolonged use could severely exhaust her. For now, her limit is one use per battle, but it should improve over time with proper training.

Rasengan Uzuhiko

Boruto’s Deadliest Rasengan

Unlike most Rasengans, Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko is not exactly a burst attack. Instead, it deals with continuous damage over time, gradually weakening enemies who were hit with a direct attack.

When Boruto used the Uzuhiko against Code, fans saw how debilitating the damage was, as he struggled to maintain his composure and stay on his feet until Boruto rescinded the effects. If Boruto had not released the technique, Code would have suffered tremendously until his life force ran out.

After all, Uzuhiko is an advanced version of Rasengan, which makes use of the planetary spin, incorporating its rotation into the attack. When hit, the spiraling chakra of the technique will continue grinding away at the target’s stamina until they die. Boruto has yet to perfect Rasengan Uzuhiko, but just like Sarada’s Ohirume, it should improve with time. However, those who know the mechanics behind Rasengan, such as Jura, could quickly counter it unless Boruto changes or evolves it further.
