It was an absolutely phenomenal chapter, and with the awakening of Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan, fans finally have an idea of how strong Sarada Uchiha truly is. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan Reawakening Vs Ryu
- Sarada Can Use Black Holes
- Ohirume Destroyed Ryu
It goes without saying that Sarada Uchiha is one of the strongest characters in the entirety of Boruto and much of that is down to her Mangekyo Sharingan powers. In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 21, Sarada unleashed the power of Her Mangekyo Sharingan on Ryu and completely demolished with a single strike, and at the same time, avoided all hits from him. It was, in essence, a one-shot against an enemy that is incredibly powerful and that's what makes Sarada Uchiha truly special.

Boruto Anime Part 2 Release Date: What To Expect
Boruto's anime is returning. Here's when fans can expect the anime to return with its second part.
To put it simply, Sarada Uchiha can create black holes with her power. She was seen creating multiple black holes with her eyes and what's scary is that Sarada can pick and choose what goes in the black hole. This means her allies on the battlefield can be unaffected, but Sarada's enemies can all face grave danger. Using her Ohirume technique, Sarada was able to have Ryu get sucked in by one black hole, and then get absolutely demolished. Ryu was reduced to smithereens, with only his Thorn Soul Bulb being left behind.
Why Sarada Uchiha Is Portrayed To Be The Sun Goddess In Boruto
Ohirume Is Another Name For The Sun Goddess Amaterasu
Gods and Goddesses in Boruto aren't too uncommon now. Fans already know that the Otsutsuki are often considered to be Gods by many, and that's what makes them special. At the same time, others can draw inspiration from God as well, and Sarada is certainly one of them. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan Ability, called Ohirume, is incredibly overpowered, and its name is carefully chosen as well. Ohirume is another title for the Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu. In other words, Sarada’s powers are portrayed in godly light by the author himself. Sarada isn't a godly being, but her powers are godly. This makes sense, as Boruto is in an era where Otsutsuki Gods exist, and Shinjutsu techniques are common too. Sarada's Ohirume isn't a Shinjutsu, but its portrayal is Godly nonetheless.
It might have just awakened, but I know exactly what it is. — Sarada Uchiha
Interestingly enough, Sarada's Ohirume also hints at the power of her second Mangekyo Sharingan. Usually, Mangekyo Sharingan abilities come in pairs. Sarada's other ability might be Amaterasu, which would further boost the Sun Goddess portrayal of Sarada Uchiha and make her even more emphatic as a character. As she continues to grow, fans will definitely see more Sun Goddess parallels with Sarada and that makes readers all the more excited.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 22 is set for its official release on May 20, 2025. The release time of the chapter is 10 AM EST/ 3 PM UTC. As always, fans can read the chapter officially for free on the Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump apps.
