Fans of the Naruto series are well aware of the fact that the duo of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uzumaki is one of the best there is. These two are known to be iconic not just in their own series, but across anime and manga in general. Naruto and Sasuke have a bond the likes of which is rare to see in the world of Naruto and Boruto, and what they've achieved together over the years can't be replicated by any other. Naruto and Sasuke saved the world together in the Fourth Great Ninja War, and more than that, fans also know very well that they continued to fend off massive threats in Boruto as well.

In their absence, a new duo has emerged in the Boruto series, and the fans know that this duo is made up of Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki. While the two have their differences, fans know very well that Kawaki and Boruto are incredibly good together and that they'll continue to protect the earth just like Naruto and Sasuke did.

It's Time To Welcome The New Itachi Uchiha Of The Naruto Franchise
Itachi has a new heir, and it's a character from Boruto.
In the Boruto series, fans saw the two fight against Kinshiki and Momoshiki, and later down the line, against Jigen as well. They also joined forces against Isshiki, but now, the era has shifted.
Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki have now taken charge and it is they who protect everyone. Even though the two have their differences, they know how to work together to confront a common enemy. More recently, the two joined forces to fight Jura, and they did incredibly well together, pushing back the monster.
The New Strongest Duo Will Shine In Boruto

The future of the Boruto series will see these two combine again. The threat of Jura is still looming, and fans know very well that they would need to work together to beat Jura. Similarly, any other threat, such as Akebi, or perhaps even another Otsutsuki will have to be taken down together by these two if they're to protect the world properly.

The fact is that Kishimoto and Ikemoto did their best to portray the idea that Naruto and Sasuke's age is over and that it's time for Kawaki and Boruto to replace them. Given their rivalry and their friendship, there is no better duo in Boruto that can replace Naruto and Sasuke, and that is quite evident.
Fans absolutely cannot wait to see them living up to the legacy of Naruto and Sasuke, even though that's an uphill task for any duo. Hopefully, Boruto and Kawaki continue to impress in the future.
