This is big news for all Boruto fans. They can finally relax and wait for their beloved anime series to return. At the time of writing, a release date has not been disclosed, and an update is likely months away. It is highly unlikely that the Boruto anime will drop any news before the turn of the year. But if the series has to, the Jump Festa would be the perfect place.

At the event, all the big names drop exclusives related to new projects. People around the world watch the event, making it the best place to drop major news. Once the production gets somewhere, the Boruto anime will release a trailer, which may or may not be revealed before the Jump Festa. At this time, it's just speculation, so fans should take it with a grain of salt.

Studio Pierrot Needs To Make Big Changes

Before the Boruto anime returns, Studio Pierrot needs to make some serious alterations. For starters, the studio should not release new episodes unless it feels like there is enough source material.

If Studio Pierrot decides to resume the anime and include a lot of filler material, fans will be outraged again. The studio must remember that the ridiculously high number of fillers was one of the main reasons why the anime flopped.
