A love triangle is brewing in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex involving Sarada Uchiha, Boruto Uzumaki, and Sumire Kakei. Most fans are supporting the BoruSara ship, but others are also rooting for the class president. However, in recent chapters, Kishimoto is clearly setting up a new love interest for Boruto, which could turn the love triangle into a love quadrangle.
While Boruto remains in a tough spot in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex because of Jura and Kawaki, one woman is watching him closely, and it’s neither Sarada nor Sumire. She keeps her eyes on Boruto, following his actions and decisions anytime she wants. As the plot unfolds in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Eida is pulling away from Kawaki little by little for different reasons. She’s clearly getting tired of Kawaki’s cowardice, his outbursts, his obsession with Naruto’s safety, and most especially his abuse. Her relationship with Kawaki is toxic and unhealthy, built on one-sided affection instead of genuine connection. In fact, she’s highly aware that Kawaki is only using her shinjutsu for his own gain, unable to return her feelings no matter what she does to please him.
On the contrary, Eida is clearly taking an interest in Boruto, especially now that he has drastically changed after the time skip. In the past, Eida refused to take Boruto seriously, seeing him as a boy rather than a man due to their age difference. She was even willing to hand him over to Code just to fulfill her fantasy with Kawaki. In Eida’s eyes, Boruto was just an annoying brat and not a potential partner.
